Peaceful surroundings

The house has nice size rooms and great kitchen…our favorite spot is the outdoor porch! Great for morning coffee!

Best mattress ever!

Loved our cozy stay here from coffee & bible on the back porch to fishing in the river. We napped on the hammock and enjoyed the separate upstairs living area.

Short stay

It was amazing, an had a very beautiful view! We took lots of pictures, I think the big windows in the kitchen was our most favorite. We had everything we needed already there it was a very peaceful stay. I would 100% stay there again.

Clean, Convenient, & Cozy!

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at this home! It’s clean and cozy and the pictures didn’t do it justice. They really thought of the guest by having the little things to get you started like dish soap, laundry supplies, bath soaps, extra pillows and blankets, even a pack and play for your little one! We enjoyed having the TV’s in the bedrooms for our kids and wifi as well. Neighborhood was quiet and a quick trip to town! We stayed here to attend a wedding at The Springs and it was very convenient.

Great Place for a Getaway!

We were in town for a wedding and booked this house to stay at and get ready at. It was such a great house in a perfect area! The back porch was so relaxing! We would definitely stay here again.

Wedding Weekend

We rented the property for my daughter and her bridesmaids to stay the night before her wedding. What a beautiful place! Easy to find, tucked back in a quiet neighborhood in the country. The manager of the property answered all questions quickly and professionally. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. My favorite moment was checking on my daughter the morning of the wedding and having a nice visit sitting on the back porch watching a stunning sunrise come up over the bayou. I will definitely use this property again when family or friends come in to town, and will tell all my friends about it as well. I am also going to refer this property to the owners of the wedding venue we used (The Springs, Wallisville, TX) to let other wedding parties know what a lovely place this is!!! Thanks a million!

Perfect location to family

We so enjoyed this home. It has very comfortable beds and enough space for our daughter and family to visit us while in town. Sitting on the back porch in the mornings drinking my coffee was a relaxing way to start the day. We all loved it here and highly recommend! My daughter is also going to tell anyone she knows.

Perfect for our family.

This house was our only alternative to a hotel when our house build got delayed by a few weeks. After living here for two weeks, we’ve got all good feedback. The house is above average in dishes/utensils/cookware. And it was very intentionally set up to be comfortable. The morning view is incredible. The beds are comfortable, the house was clean and just as nice as the pictures show. Location probably isn’t on people’s list of top destinations to visit, but if your looking for some serenity, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the views. The only sound for miles is the wind through the trees and the flocks of birds. Highly recommend!

The Weekend at Old and Lost River House

We enjoyed our stay very much! The home was clean and was very well arranged. The beds were very comfortable. The weather was rainy, so were were not able to enjoy the very nice back deck. The stairs to the loft were steep, but otherwise everything was great.

Very cute house

We loved staying here. Had some issues (still not resolved) with being charged extra fees. So be sure to watch your billing summary. I've reached out to the owner, and management company and was ignored by both in regards to this. The house is newly renovated. Very cozy. Great location for what we needed. We'd come back.
