To explain the ratings: I am a native of Huntingdon and the description of how close the property is to Juniata College, the hospital, and town is really erroneous. The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet but it is a six mile drive to Huntingdon or a six mile drive to Cornpropst Mills on very windy, but paved, narrow roads. I know the road because I learned to drive on it, but it isn't for the faint of heart, especially at dark. I knew the shortcut roads, but I bet not many other visitors do. We were unable to access the door code as none of us had cell service. My bad for not writing it down before heading to the top of Stone Creek Ridge. I had to drive back down the ridge into town to be able to call and get the passcode.
Other than that our stay was good. Deer every morning and evening. Great birding, you have a pileated woodpecker, among other great birds there.
The stairs were steep for elders, but I am sure you are marketing to Penn State or Juniata families.
An axe for splitting kindling would be nice, but we were all Girl Scouts and made it work.
I would recommend a higher rating, if you fix that description!! Cheers!
