"Originally booked this to have easy access to the Indiana Dunes, however with the heat decided to instead spend our time at Washington Park Beach. The house was super close, and stocked with sand toys and beach chairs. Everything was exactly as pictured and very convenient. The beach is fantastic, aside from the industrial area nearby. Some of the clearest water and best sand bottom we’ve been to along Lake Michigan. The stairs up to the loft area are very tiny and steep, just a warning...

"Perfect location - you can easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants. The public library is right across the street and has a beautiful little children’s garden where deer, rabbit, and chipmunk are plentiful. The dogs loved sitting out in the screened in porch area just watching everything. The only thing to note is the weeds around the house are really plentiful (I guess it helps the bee population) and it kind of feels like you’re being attacked by the weeds when walking in and out of...

"Was a comfy cozy spot to sit, relax, and just talk. The pull out couch was very comfortable. The most comfortable i have ever slept on. The fireplace was beautiful and functional. It gave off heat or just soft light. We drove to the outlet mall and 2 farmers markets. We had an amazing mother daughters weekend and will definitely come back again."

"Wonderful location. The loft cabin lake house was well supplied including pots and pans and I ended up overpacking after reading previous reviews. Charcoal grill was small but considering it’s not meant for a huge crowd anyways I was able to make a nice meal for family of 4. The hot tub was clean and worked well. The location was 15 minutes down a winding gravel road I was not aware of that. Very peaceful beautiful place to relax and not too far from small town shops. "

"We enjoyed a very calm an peaceful weekend. It was our 20 year wedding anniversary and we needed the time away. VRBO, however has a hot tub as an amenity and there is none with this cottage. Property manager said she had told them to remove but they haven't removed it yet. Overall it was a great weekend."

"We spent the weekend at this cottage and were able to host a graduation celebration for approximately 25. There was good space for accommodating a BBQ. Steve was very responsive and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked with needed items. Beautiful view of the lake! "

"We were looking for a last minute spot to get away from the city for the 4th of july weekend. The Lemon Lift cottage was perfect for a few nights. The upper deck was perfect for watching the fireworks and the dogs loved swimming off the dock. The house itself was old and has seen some days, but it's all you need for a weekend. "Nice lil cabin in the perfect location. It was also clean with boho like decor. Hot tub and pool are about .5 miles from cabin down a lane. That was a bummer. However, the view and fire pit area made up for it! There was a closer hot tub but no decking or steps in and out. Communication with caretakers / owners was extrodinary!!! "
