After 45 years of vacationing at Point Reyes National Seashore, lodging mostly in Inverness, we have landed in our current favorite spot for a second stay this year. The themes of this beautiful home are comfort, warmth, spaciousness, and welcoming with endless windows for the lovely bay view through lush grand trees. Almost like a Berkeley transplant in a small village, cared for by family over the years, it feels like a home. Equally suitable for 2 or a family or group, it offers the quiet of a retreat or great spaces for a lively gathering. Provisions lack for nothing, as another theme might be abundance, whether household provisions or entertainment. Music, games, books, smart TV, good lighting, decent beds, soft sheets, spacious main bath, all very clean. With an old fashioned lock box there are no digital glitches involved at check in. Good communication with host. What more could you want? A baby grand piano in the great room overlooking the bay would be a dream come true. Maybe some day. Until then, we'll be content with this hillside dream.
