The large living/kitchen/dining space was fantastic for our group of five adults, and the view from the large lake-facing windows was beautiful. We sat on the deck the first evening and watched two moose grazing in the yard. The bathrooms were very clean and comfortable, and while one bedroom was on the dingy side, the rest were bright and comfortable. The down side was that the kitchen sink cabinet doors were falling off, and the ancient "non-stick" pans were almost impossible to clean. Communication with our host was wonderful, prior to our arrival, with detailed messages about what to do in the area and where to shop for groceries. However, the host did not provide check-in information until late the day before we were to arrive, and I had to request the information. When we arrived, our first impression was quite negative because the lock box was falling off the wall, with no key in it. We couldn't get in. In a panic, I messaged the host, who replied immediately, but rather rudely, saying to use the keypad on the door. We had seen no keypad (just some black box), and this was not included in our check-in information. We entered through the garage, which reeked of fuel fumes, and the first room we saw was the rather dingy bedroom, so all in all, our first impressions were negative. The fireplace did not work, and the host did not respond other than to say "use the remote," which did not work. We still had a wonderful time, but I'm not sure what was up with the host
