"We stayed 2 days and it was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The large drawing room that overlooks Loch Melfort was also available for us to use which we enjoyed. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon."

"This is a beautiful hotel overlooking the loch , it’s out of the way and very private. The food is fantastic, small menu but something for every taste. "

"The staff on arrival were amazing. There was no space in the car park and one of staff moved their vehicle so we had a place to park. The check in process was seamless and all staff were ready to help us if needed. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and served by enthusiastic staff. "I am rooting for these guys! It’s a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. We loved the views and the grounds and the library with the assortment of whiskeys. Here is a photo of some highlights! The library and the peacock and the views. Looks like a castle. "
