The property was in a superb location and with its enclosed yard and courtyard was perfect for our pet dog. However, the cabin ensuite was mouldy & unventilated , the window unable to be opened and had spiders and cobwebs. The main house had obviously not been cleaned- toilet paper in the toilet bowl, an empty drink can left on coffee table- awful! The dishwasher door latch was broken. I messaged the managing rental company about this but I received no response. The bathroom door could not be locked.
The worst thing however occurred the day before check-in( in fact 22 hours before!) I was informed by Holiday Rental Specialists that our holiday at Bay Cottage had to be cancelled because the owner was occupying the property. After 3 phone calls, and the case being escalated to Ric, a team manager, I was told that our booking would go ahead. I was relieved but the hours of not knowing whether our special friends reunion holiday would go ahead we’re very stressful and distressing.
After this experience I will NEVER book with Stayz if Holiday Rental Specialists are the property managers.
We completed feedback forms at the property but so far we have not heard back from this rental company.
I would appreciate it if Stayz management follow up this complaint and inform me of any outcome. A very disappointing and upsetting experience.
