Another day in Paradise
We have stayed at the Wautauga River Cabins several times. We refer to it as our home away from home. I can not say enough good things about this place. The property owners Patti and Gary are always there to answer questions and to keep you informed of things of importance with the cabin or with fishing the river. The property managers Phil and Alesa are always to there to assist with any needs that may arise. You can just mention that something would be nice and then the next time you go it is there. We consider them family now. This last time we wanted to bless them with a cookout because they had to deal with no electricity and lots of river cleanup after the Helene storm. But when they came they blessed us with a desert that was absolutely delicious. They are such nice people. If you should have an issue, they are always there to get it fixed in a timely manner. The cabins are always clean and the property is always tidy. The fall and holiday decor is a nice touch. We are so thankful that the rising waters didn’t harm these beautiful cabins. Were already thinking about when we will be able to return for our next get away.

We had planned to stay during the weekend of Hurricane Helene, but mother nature had other plans. Patti and Gary were super responsive during a crazy time and very understandable in regards to working out a solution for our reservation. If I'm in the Johnson City area, I will choose their cabins! :)

Bristol weekend
Very happy with the property and condition it was in. I stayed in the sycamore cabin with my wife and a few friends. Plenty of space for all of us comfortably. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the best, but it was clean and had plenty of hot water. The location of the property was close to Bristol motor speedway. My wife and I both agreed if we come back to the area for another trip we would try to use this property again and think it would be fun to get a larger group to come down and rent out multiple units on the property.

Little dust, little cobwebs, But a Whole Lot of Country!
We were here for the NASCAR Race in Bristol. This was the best little spot. Allowed us to easily come & go and stay all together as a family of 4. It was great to be able to see East Tn mountains & the curvy roads up to Bristol. We loved it! I hate that we couldn’t spend time using the outside spaces because they looked incredibly inviting. Hope to get back so we can use those & other outdoor activities in the area. So, yes, it’s a little dated, a little dust, & the typical cobwebs in the corners due to the cool mountain air. But it was home for the weekend and very much a part of our memories & lives forever. Thx for sharing this very unique place!

Perfect for families
This our 2nd time gathering our large family at Watagua River Cabins for Thanksgiving. It is a cherished experience made even better by the beautiful setting, plentiful amenities, and set-up of the 5 cabins— especially for the kids and fishermen in our group. This was the 5th time I have stayed at the cabins. Each time it gets more and more enjoyable. The cabins are always super clean, the beds are comfortable and the setting is incredible. My family had a really relaxing time. I will be back!!

Excellent place to stay
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We were in town for my mom's 80th birthday and needed a place for our family to stay. My sister and her family stayed in the unit right next door. It was perfect for everyone. Just wish we could have stayed longer and been able to enjoy the firepit.
