"Unfortunately, there were very high winds so the power company had to shut off the power to the area. We were informed ahead of time and given the option to reschedule, which we declined. They ran a power cord from their generator to the cabin to the heater so we could have a heat source other than the fireplace. As usual, they were very accommodating and the best hosts, ever! Looking forward to coming back for Thanksgiving!!I couldn't believe it, we had 14 turkeys in the front, about 40 various...

"Celebrating a birthday with sons and their families. Plenty of room to spread out, play games, watch a movie or even find a quiet spot to read and enjoy the spectacular view of the lake. We had a bald eagle flying whilst at breakfast and deer just the other side of fence. 12 wild turkeys were wandering up the road as we walked down to the lake. Rather a nice workout after lunch. We all enjoyed playing shuffle board and eating s’mores as the sun was setting round the fire pit. House is very well...

"We didn’t spend much time at the actual property as we were in Julian for a wedding. I did very much enjoy eating breakfast outside both mornings partaking in the view and sunshine. If we get the chance to visit Julian again I would stay in this house again. It has lots of outdoor seating to be enjoyed in warm weather. It is private but with easy access to recreational activities in the area. It would be a good base camp. "

"We absolutely loved every part of our stay at the Julian cottage. The cottage has been lovingly restored and has every luxury needed without sacrificing its' historic charm. It is only one street away from downtown, so the location is conveniently within walking distance from all of the shops and restaurants. Not only would we recommend a stay at this cottage, we will be planning a return stay."
