Upon arriving we were greeted by a gecko. I'm not sure how much they pay him, but he was a wonderful host! When we first entered we were greeted by gentle music, fans running with windows open. This house is extremely comfortable, well decorated, and easy to reach from Kona. After spending the day along the coast, either kayaking, or exploring Kaloko State Park, we were all eager to head back "home" where the temperature was a good 7+ degrees less than the coast. We would open up the house to let the ocean breeze through. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and usable. We used the deck and table more than the dining table as it was extremely comfortable outside.
Two things to consider: there is only one bathroom, which connects to two bedrooms. This means that the third bedroom has to navigate which bedroom to invade when planning a trip to the restroom. Not a big deal at all. Also there is no dishwasher - we instituted the following policy ‘use a dish, wash a dish.’ Overall the house house is amazing, comfortable, private, and family friendly. The only real issue we had, was that we couldn’t stay longer.
