"The Monastery Estate is a beautifully restored family house in the tiny village of Moni, not far from Sougia and the sea. It's an incredibly peaceful, intimate place with comfortable, quirky, stylish rooms and large patios. The view over to the White Mountains is breathtaking and there is great hiking nearby. We were extremely well looked after by Katerina and Marianne - nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful with local suggestions. Highly recommended! "

If you're just looking for a relaxing place to stay, then the drive there may not be worth the effort. The drive there involves some pretty twisty roads with the last 5 km or so on a dirt/gravel road.
