"As the hotel name suggests the property is located away from the city's hustle and bustle :) you are immersed in nature and its beautiful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and our check in was quick and smooth. Rooms are spacious with all the necessary amenities. There was enough water pressure from the shower head regardless of the negative comments some guests experienced. Food at the restaurant was deeeeelicious and plenty of varieties from Sri Lankan to international cusines my kids...

"Amazing - no other words needed! A two night stay in one of the tree houses - had the camp to ourselves , which was perfect. Staff were fabulous and went out of their way to ensure our meals were varied both in location and food . Excellent on both counts . Wild elephant encounter on our way in, had to reroute on the way out due to ele on the road (? Same guy?) . But a great detour . Just chilled in the fish spa and ate lots. "

"Wow. Luxurious property with the friendliest staff. The food was everything was picked from their farm. So fresh, generous portions, and organic! Our stay was simply amazing. We stayed in both the Floating Villa, and then the Bankee Chalet. Highly reccomend. Everyone in that visits Sri Lanka should come here."

"Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more...

"El hotel está muy bien. Piscina con una vista a la naturaleza espectacular. Ubicado cerca del templo de las cuevas de Dambulla. Cerca de la roca Sigiriya. Personal muy atento y servicial. Habitación amplia. No hay ruido. Cama cómoda. Limpieza del baño regular. Bañera de hidromasaje no funciona. Insectos varios. Nevera sucia y destartalada. Desayuno abundante y variado. Cena variada de buffet."

"Unser Aufenthalt im Gabaa Resort & Spa war rundum erholsam. Schon bei der Ankunft (sehr spät abends) fühlten wir uns dank der entspannten Atmosphäre und der warmen Begrüßung sofort willkommen.
