We looked forward to our stay here and while our stay was comfortable, there were a few things that threw us off. Let's start with the positive. The WIFI was excellent, the ability to watch wildlife in the evening was amazing, seeing Barry (the local bat and his friends who do live in the attic) was fun and the size of the cabin was just perfect. The walk into town was exactly 1.5 miles and you never heard road noise or farm animals during your stay. I am bummed we missed the goats.
The few negatives that I would add are the ad makes it seem rustic but very modern inside. That is only true for the bathroom shower. Also, they say they pride themselves in cleanliness and I would say you will have to realize that you are staying in a old cabin on a farm. Cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere, mouse poop in the kitchen area (this was not bat poop from Barry getting in.), stains on the bathroom walls and our sheets seemed off. The windows didn't shut all the way, the doors had gaps at the bottom and the screen didn't shut on the front door so you couldn't leave it open for airflow without bugs, flies and mosquitos getting in during the evening. Lastly, sometimes the workers that are there will block the driveway to get into your place. This was odd, but we were able to work with it. These things are more of a for your information so as not to be surprised like us.
Let's end on a high note. This is a chicken farm and so they leave you a dozen eggs which are delicious! They also leave you a bottle of sparkling and some chocolate. Those were nice welcome gifts. The property management company is very fast in responding to anything you need and communicating with the owners if need be.
In closing. We enjoyed our stay but couldn't give it 5 stars.
