"Recently under new management so has some minor teething challenges. The current interim manager was excellent but only temporary. If the full time one is half as good the hotel should be a success as it is quiet and charming. Note however the rooms are not for those with mobility issues (and frankly room 1 has so many tiny stairs it isn't for anyone!) We had room 5 which was fine (and is probably the one in the photo) We only had snacky things to eat but restaurant looked popular. Slightly off...

"It is a unique property with a beautiful courtyard. It’s a little bit like a maze trying to find your room, but the room was spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was very generous and delicious. "

"Great little place to stay with really welcoming and friendly staff. We had a beautiful clean and cosy warm room with all the options as described in our booking. We dined in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well prepared. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to some local trails and town was an easy walk or drive down the road. Thank you"

"Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey."
