"The cabin was great and the outdoor fire pit was excellent. We didn’t spend much time indoors because it was cold - right at the end of the season, the propane heater didn’t work and electricity was limited. So we sat around the fire all night and that was perfect. My friend was pickier than me and didn’t sleep well because of scratching critters at the bedroom’s door to the outside. "We had a perfect stay at the Stambaugh Farm. It had all the trimmings including a Christmas tree for the holiday! We got a blanket of snow right on time and my southern boys had a blast throwing it at each other in the yard. The historical charm beckons another time, but the rooms were amply warm and cozy. The room could benefit from room darkening blinds, especially during the Christmas season with the giant glowing snowflake just outside the windows. The stairs were a challenge for two seniors, but for younger people will probably not pose a problem.
