"What a wonderful time we had!! Gorgeous location. While the deck is connected to Mercury’s home, the stay is super private. Sam and Mercury were generous and kind with provisions, local recommendations and fruit from their property. We were treated with a rainbow the first and last night of our stay! "Check-in was easy, home was fun to stay and prepare our meals. At first we were concerned upon arrival as the home doesn’t have air conditioning. The home cooled down after opening windows & doors. Two fans, plus a ceiling fan kept us comfortable at night. There is a general store nearby which was helpful. Sunrise was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk to the beach from this home. Recommend staying here and thank you to our host and owner."

We split our road to Hana and Haleakala-Kipahulu District trip up over two days, making this the perfect place to rest for the night. "We spent a long weekend at the Elua Cottage and it was so relaxing! It’s stocked with all of the essentials. It has amazing ocean views and even my 6 yr old was sad to leave. Ocean breeze and the sound of the waves all night were so nice. It really is a gem of a place to call home base while exploring Hana. Easy to find, even after dark. Well definitely stay again!"

"This was our first time making it out to Hana to stay for a couple of nights and I wish we had had more time there. The house was perfect for our group of six. We really appreciated that they had six beach chairs, two umbrellas & plenty of towels. The outside shower was a real help in making sure sand didn’t make its way into the units.
