"Emma sent us very clear directions and gave us a lovely welcome. Gardener's Cottage is well cared for, comfortable and in a lovely setting. It's is cosy but not cramped. We had a lovely holiday with highlights including Bribham Rocks and Fountains Abbey (both so much more extensive and stunning than we expected), Knaresborough's river Nidd (with stunning viaduct views from the castle and museum), and Harrogate's gardens all the way from the centre to RHS Harlow Carr. "We have just returned from a wonderful week on the North York Moors. The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. Rachel and Rory were excellent hosts, their local knowledge was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble. We rate our stay 10/10, we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you"

"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small."

"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic "
