We were told shortly before arrival that there might be some scaffolding and noise for a gutter project. When we arrived, the patios were completely blocked and useless. Our “oceanfront” and “huge lanai” were worthless. We reached out to the owner about a small refund since we didn’t get the experience we paid for and was advertised when we booked. The manager kept apologizing but the owner never got to us. I’ve never been so disappointed with the service and the experience and we have used VRBO many times. This location is great and the unit was fine, but we were just so disappointed.

Owner was responsive and worked with me when I needed to add another day. Would stay here again. Great for our family of 7. Location is great for kids who didn’t have their own car. Great multiple close beaches. Walk to Hyatt bar is easy for adults. Lots of beach stuff. Thank you!

The pictures that are posted on their listing doesn't capture the absolute beauty of this property. We were on the first floor and still had such a beautiful pool. The 3 bedroom condo was so spacious. The furniture was super comfortable and didn't have that "worn out" look like some place do. My only complaint was the coffee table. It has a clear glass top which makes if tricky to get around if you're not paying attention. One corner is chipped pretty badly and my 89 year old mom cut her leg on it. We ended up setting items on the corners so we'd remember the glass top was there. Other than that it was AMAZING!! We'd happily rent again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful oceanfront condo! The view was incredible, and the condo had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The pool was amazing—our kids loved spending time there. We also enjoyed cooking dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and relaxing out on the patio in the evenings. A perfect spot for a family getaway!

A beautiful condo in an excellent location on the south side of the island. We had plenty room for our Ohana and we appreciated the well equipped kitchen and laundry. The property managers were responsive and their help was much appreciated especially during the tsunami warning. We would highly recommend this condo for your stay.

Great location! You can walk to the point and watch the sunrise in the morning (my favorite part). The condo had beach gear available to use that is perfect for spending the days on at the beach and enjoying the sun and ocean. The condo is all one level which was helpful for our family. The air conditioning worked really well. For those that air conditioning is important, this condo will be perfect for you! The ocean view from the lanai was great. A perfect place to have your morning coffee. The close proximity tot he pool and hot tub was also very nice. The kitchen had items we needed to make many of our meals there at the condo. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

Excellent location. Great condo - It was roomy for a group of 6 and had everything we needed. Appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards. An unexpected bonus of this location was the soul soothing effect of listening to and watching the waves crash onto the rocks. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a family of 8 staying. The condo is in a good location with the parking lot and easy access to the pool and pickleball court. Each bedroom and living area had air conditioning which was nice to have. Being on the ground floor, the grandkids could run around outside easily.

Great Time

We were very comfortable and enjoyed all the amenities. Really appreciate the pool toys. Beautiful view from the lanai .Not a fan of the glass tops on the tables, very sharp edges. One of the glass tops was chipped with scotch tape on it. My husband sustained a small cut from it. It would be nice to have plastic cups for the pool.

nice place, smallish, but for the price, was very happy. Be aware, if you didn't notice, that the master bedroom is separated from living area by sliding white glass doors, so not as quiet as might be hoped. Great walking distance to Shipwreck and Poipu beaches! Would definitely stay again

Wonderful condo

The condo had everything we needed and more. Everything was clean and fully stocked. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The private trail was stunning to watch sunrises and sunsets with many sea turtles. Such a great location. We were given plenty of notice about parking changes and all other items. I would recommend this VRBO!

Location Location

This condo is ground floor with a wonderful patio, steps from the pool, awesome view of the ocean and you can enjoy both sunsets and sunrises from the patio. We have stayed at this condo each time we have come to Hawaii and have never been disappointed. Paradise.

The Best Family Trip

Our stay at Makahuena Resort was nothing short of perfection. The location exceeded our expectations with perfect viewing for sunrises, sunsets and even whale and sea turtle sightings! The kids loved playing in the pool daily and it was just a short 3 min drive to several beaches. Every single bed was very comfortable and clean. The property manager was always prompt to respond to emails and texts and was always available. We will definitely plan to return in the near future!

Amazing stay!

Amenities were perfect, very nice place! Being on the first floor was perfect for hanging out on the grass and into the pool for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable! We loved our stay!
