"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bass Lake. January is certainly off-season for lake living in the Midwest, but we had a great time. The home is well stocked and has plenty of room for a big group. "My family joined me for a wonderful trip to Brightstone. We fell in love. Our hosts were phenomenal and so helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and they are very helpful. The house contained everything we needed. The photos of the listing are accurate but photos do not do justice to the setting. The beautiful lake is amazing. The hiking trails were fun for the grandkids and we saw wild turkeys and other critters. We are planning a return trip next summer and cannot wait...

"The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy."
