Great couples retreat
This is a very nice place, we really enjoyed our stay and the jacuzzi was wonderful. Overall I would recommend this stay for anyone wanting to be close to La Fortuna without being in with all the hustle and bustle and all the tourists. A great get away

Nice clean quiet place with the garden
We were getting late because of the delayed flight and communication with the property manager was very good and they did everything to help us navigate to the place late at night. We enjoyed staying at the property. It’s very serene with the garden. I like that the location is a little bit secluded, so there’s no traffic - peace and quiet. The place itself was very clean.

Amazing Private Getaway As Described!
We instantly became interested in this place from the pictures and it looked even better when we got there. The staff made all arrangements to meet us there when we got into town and give us a tour of the unit. The roofed parking and backyard porch was a huge plus as it rained frequently while we were there. The hot tub was warm when we arrived and heated up quickly when we turned it on, great after a long day of hikes/exploring. The bed was very comfortable, the AC did its job, and even though its a min drive the downtown area its nice to have a usable kitchen and large fridge when needed. We would highly recommend this stay to other couples looking for a private, affordable stay in La Fortuna.

Great quite getaway
The property was exactly as described. The hot tub was great but took longer than expected to heat up. Coffee was a great selection. We would definitely rebook if we returned to the area. Mario, who met us at check-in was most helpful about local activities

Good fortune in LaFortuna
Check-in with Carlos in town was easy and fun. He helped us get oriented to town and then took us to the house. It was a repurposed container truck with all sorts of creative touches. It had a carport. It had a hot tub made to look like a volcanic pool. The location was only 5 min out of town. We spent 3 glorious days at the 'luxury couples hideaway. Excellent Getaway Spot
My husband and I loved our stay here. The property was just as depicted in the photos. Although it is a bit far from the main city, it is easily accessible by car. The check-in process was quick and easy and they helped us find different excursions close to the area. We did encounter an issue with the hot water as well as tours not arriving on time, but it was resolved soon after we reported it! We loved our time here and would definitely stay here again!

Just right for two
We stayed for eight days and immensely enjoyed the experience. We were glad to have a rental car, but you could walk to town if you wanted to, and we did several times. There are some good tourist businesses within a reasonable walk (Sloth trail, Coffee&Chocolate Tour, Pickleball court, Smokehouse restaurant, 2 other restaurants) and we used them all. Great birdwatching from the deck over breakfast. Nice air conditioning and on-site laundry made for a very comfortable time.

Great spot to stay!
Very clean when we arrived with a fresh pineapple was on the counter. We were told everything needed to know about the house. We only stayed a couple of nights, but would have stayed longer if we were not headed to a different city. The drive is a short drive to down town La Fortuna. There is a BBQ place just next door if you wanted to walk to a restaurant.

My Happy Place
My partner and I had a wonderful stay in La Fortuna at this property. The check in was seamless- communication via WhatsApp and even though we were running late, we were still escorted directly to the property and were able to meet the site keeper who was always available for anything we might have needed. Both mornings Lorenzo brought out fruit to attract the birds, which was so magical and I got great pictures. The patio is a great place to have coffee and wake up with the birds. Everything is clean, safe, and maintained. Recommended to have a rental car in this area, it makes it a 5 minute drive to the city center for meals/activities. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in La Fortuna.

The property was very nice and cozy. The couch is less than comfortable especially if watching TV for more than a few minutes. The jacuzzi is a nice touch but they should provide a skimmer because after the first or second day bugs fill the pool if not skimmed out which makes it a bit unusable. Definitely need some new and better towels for the jacuzzi. Washing machine is offered for guest to use but very confusing to use if not from the area. I have never seen a washer like that before and was not sure if I was using it correctly. Water pressure if surprisingly good and the shower head is amazing which makes up for some of the short comings for the room.

Fantastic find!
Uber cool little hideaway, with a view of the volcano, was better than we expected. We had everything we needed for our stay, which included cooking our own meals. The patio/hot tub has a great view, although not of the volcano, and the owner put bananas out each morning to attract birds. The place is spotless, the host was responsive, and you just might consider your own container home after staying here!

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings
Totally unique, fashioned out of a cargo container, really small but well planned. Will loved checking out the detail of how they made textural walls inside to simulate wood and stone finishes. It had this goofy hot tub with a sculpted volcano for the hot water to come out and cascade down into the tub. The owner Lorenzo was the son of a couple who had a nature reserve down the road that we did a night nature walk at. It was cool to see this family make these different tourist experiences. We went on a night hike The Mariolas Trail with one other couple and lead by a young multilingual guide and Lorenzo’s father. Saw all sorts of amphibians, birds, moths, and then after made tortillas and had a traditional snack with starfruit juice. Then Lorenzo's dad pulls out a huge jug of his homemade cacao moonshine so we each could have a shot. It was an incredible experience all around!

Wonderful!
This is a wonderful VRBO. It’s nestled in a more remote area of town, which we loved since we got to avoid the more touristy area. It’s about a 30 minute walk into the main town, which we loved. The hot tub is lovely and watching the sun rise over the field is spectacular.

Don't miss this wonderful stay!
Lorenzo has created a magical oasis with this shipping container! Very well laid out, comfortable furnishings and a "volcano hot tub" and the vegetation around this little abode was gorgeous! Lorenzo with bring bananas over early morning for the bird feeding area. We would get up at 7 am just to see the colorful species of birds. Our Merlin app on our phone identied 9 different birds by their song! Lorenzo came over as we were getting ready to leave to show us a 2 toed sloth on his property across the road. His family owns The Mariolas Trail just down the road and it is every bit as wonderful as this vacation rental! Make sure to take a wildlife tour with this multi generation company. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay! Very close to town but far enough out for peace and secluded beauty!

Private, beautiful property close to town
We had a great time here, it was easy to locate, accessible via car and the property is very well maintained. We were greeted by the owner who gave us the tastiest pineapple and even showed us two sloths in a tree! The accommodation itself is very clean, rustic and serene amongst the trees, especially in the morning when there’s lots of colourful birds chirping around you! There is also a laundry machine + a full kitchen. It’s just under ten minute drive to the main strip in La Fortuna. Overall, we recommend!

Wonderful visit in la fortuna
Stayed for 3 nights as extension for a wedding in La Fortuna. Greated by host who gave us a fresh fruit from their property. Nice spot close to town and all the attrations in the area. My only suggestion is the love seat, as another guest mentioned, not very comfortable, but I am a taller guy. Also, do suggest they put TV in the bedroom, would be relaxing to watch movie after long day exploring. We enjoyed cooking and eating on deck, also having coffee and breakfast while watching the birds eat bananas that the host put out every morning was a delight. All in all, would recommend and stay again.

Beautiful Place
Beautiful place. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The only criticism I would have is the loveseat in the living room area was very small and pretty uncomfortable. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioner in the bedroom does a great job cooling the whole house. Loved the deck with the hot tub and the yard is gorgeous. All in all I would recommend this property.
