A great experience!
Four of us in from TN & TX tho we are from Lafayette. The Blue House was a delight! Charming. Cozy. Very clean. Creative decor. Comfy beds. Perfect location. Peaceful (UL on Christmas break.) Quiet time on the porch swing to the lullaby of the train in the distance—we love this home and will be back!

Lafayette Rules
I just love this town. This place is so well equipped, decorated so artistically, and so comfortable for our group of 6 that it was a pleasure to retreat to and wake up in over several days of adventure. The host was very accommodating when we had a change of plans just a month or so before beginning the stay, and everything went so smoothly with the process. I highly recommend it, at the risk of it not being available next time we come!!

Blue Gem in the middle of old town Lafayette
We enjoyed every moment at the very special Blue House. Being equipped with all modern amenities, it still maintains its antique and historic character. The Downtown area and many good restaurants (we very much liked the “Bon temps Grill’) are in walking distance, so we explored most of the area on foot. Not far away there’s a natural habitat (Lake Martin, where we went on a beautiful swamp tour) and the nice little town of Breaux Bridge, worth being visited. We would definitely stay again at the Blue house when visiting Lafayette again.

Far better than expected
We arrived after having completed 12days touring . The house is far bigger than the listing portrayed. Everything in it is quality Cant speak highly enough of the Blue house , from its location to cutlery Simply the best. One thing we would have found useful , a housebook with information relating to the house , and general area. That aside first rate thanks.

Great Rental
Great stay for a “girls” trip. We had everything needed…three roomy bedrooms with comfortable beds, nice kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, good location, many restaurants close by within a few minutes. Would make one suggestion…hand rail on the back steps…it rained for two days while we were there and the steps were a little slippery. All in all would highly recommend.

Perfect stay
The Blue House is a perfect property to accomodate 6 adults, we were four so plenty of space and privacy for both couples. All we needed was there and more. I would recommand this property anytime. The host, Tyler, was really helpfull, he helped us find activities from the surrounding (great swamp tour just 25 minutes from the property) Jacques,Lucie, Mario and Patricia

Beautiful house & great location
In town for graduation and spent 2 days at the Blue House. Great neighborhood and close to campus. PLENTY of parking. Comfy beds, clean home and picture perfect decor. Back room did have some night brightness issues...when the neighbors came home the security light switched on for about 5m. For the 2nd night we used sleep masks and it was all good. Also, back bathroom may benefit from handrails to assist with getting in & out of tub. Other than that no problems. Highly recommend.

Older house that has been renovated. Charming decor. Spacious. AC worked, never had a problem staying cool in record breaking summer heat. Comfortable beds. Owner was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again should the need arise.

A taste of Acadiana
This property is a true taste of Acadiana! The decor and amenities are top notch and fit well with “modern classic” feel of the house. The location is minutes away from some of the best restaurants Lafayette has to offer and the property manager, Tyler, was prompt and accommodating to our Birthday game night celebration. True south Louisiana hospitality. The only issue was that we didn’t reserve it for longer as we could have used another day. Highly recommend you reserving this location if you considering it. You won’t be disappointed!

The property owner worked with me last minute to book the property. We were in town for a funeral, and another home we had booked had the air conditioning go out. I'm grateful for the help of the property owner. We were able to stay in the house. The amount of time we needed. Everything was clean, it was a great location for where we needed to be.

Cute historical home with modern flare!
This property was absolutely stunning! The house has the old time New Orleans feel with all the modern updates and amenities. Everything was clean and in good working order. So much space for our family of 4. The house is older so you can hear noise from the outside (only noticed at night). We turned a sound machine app on to drown it out and that worked perfect. Would definitely stay again!
