"Staying at the Maples was such a great and pleasant experience! It was really comfortable for 2 couples and extremely clean. Karen has put a lot of work in detailing every bit of info you might need as well as clearly marking everything in the house to make the stay extremely comfortable. It’s a great secluded house that worked wonders for our ski trip to Whiteface just 15 minutes away. We highly recommend considering The Maples as your next winter destination!"

"All good! Would suggest to the owner that the TV have more options. I am not a TV watcher, but I did want to catch up on the news and found that difficult. Maybe an antenna would help if there are local channels that can be received. Other than that, I would suggest a shade on the front door to provide more privacy. Other than that, I would highly highly recommend this place as it was quiet and comfortable in a good location and clean and convenient and well appointed"

"Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. "We were up to visit our son for his first parents’ weekend as a Paul Smith’s student. Bob and Sheila were fantastic! They kept an open line of communication with us the entire time, made sure we didn’t need anything, and even let us know to listen for the barred owl! They have paid attention to every single detail. "We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. "

"This is a tiny bare bones cabin. Hardly room for a couple. No stove or place to cook. There was microwave and sink. The bed was large but mattress sagged in middle. The drawers were hard to open and close. No one on premises to greet you; access entirely on internet, but internet and phone connection spotty.
