What a lovely cabin - great location (5 mins drive to China Peak) and very cozy. The cabin was clean and easy to access. We had one great clear day and one day of snow. Lots of books to choose from. Five great snow parks within a 30 min drive.
There are a few things worth noting. First, neither my husband nor I had cell service (T-mobile) and the condo does not have wi-fi. I don't mind not having wi-fi, but we couldn't really plan while we were there. We had to go to China Peak for wi-fi. Thus, it would be helpful for the owners to provide a guest book (there are summer recommendations on the fridge but that's about it) containing local activities and essential information (e.g., hours for china peak, rec center info, contact info for the property manager). For example, there is a community hot-tub and sauna that is available in the rec center after 3:00pm (awesome!). Had we not had the neighbor contact the property manager (we smelled propane gas up the fill), we would have not been able to access the hot tub (or even known about it) as you need a gate code. As a side note, when we smelled gas we had to have a neighbor contact the manager as there was no contact info and our phones did not work. Also, the post indicates that coffee will be in the cabin - there was no coffee and no filters.
My recommendation: Do your homework BEFORE coming. Bring movies/DVD's, bring your own food and food essentials since you can't take a "quick trip" to the market. The closest "real" market is in Shaver Lake which is a 30 min drive.
Overall, lovely weekend.
