My husband, daughter, father in law, dog and I had a great 4 days on Tenmile. The location of this house is a dream. Super private and overall quiet arm of Tenmile Lake. The outdoor living spaces (deck, dock and huge fire pit) really won us over. We had perfect weather the whole time we were there. Were even blessed with clear skies so we could star gaze from the dock. We rented a pontoon boat from Ringo’s but also brought our paddle boards and used the couple kayaks the house provided.
Although the listing / pictures show the house accurately, it is interesting that this house doesn’t have any interior living room. The kitchen is nice and we used it a lot. We never tried to eat at the small dining room table tucked against a wall inside. And only my daughter tried the couch out which felt odd to have in the middle of the kitchen / dining room.
Luckily, the weather was nice to be outdoors so we didn’t have to worry but if it was raining, it wouldn’t have been a good house to be indoors at for long periods of time.
The listing states 4 bedrooms but it’s really 3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft that’s only accessible via a steep ladder. We didn’t use the loft as one of our family members couldn’t go at the last minute but probably wouldn’t have wanted anyone to have to go up and down the ladder in the middle of the night.
Also, when we noticed the train tracks across the lake from the house, we were concerned about possible noise in the middle of the night but it turned out to not be an issue at all. We only saw the very short train 3 times while we were there and it was at either 7 or 8 in the morning or evening and fairly quiet overall.
Having lived in the PNW our whole lives and never known about Tenmile, we were excited to discover and look forward to going back again!!
