"An absolutely incredible place to stay, with gorgeous river views and even a lake. We stayed in a barrel which was so comfortable, I really did not want to get out of bed! The owner and others on the farm are kind, warming and helpful, and are clearly working hard to build an amazing space. I just wish I could have stayed longer!"

"We were totally blown away by for us a perfect cottage. It was spacious & well equipped. No local facilities but major town of Bideford was 6 min drive away. Yes you could find small bits of wear & tear but nothing took away the complete feeling of total relaxation. Yes we would & will book again."

"Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future."

"Einziges Manko des Aufenthalts war der fehlende Esstisch. Für uns kein Problem, wir hatten gutes Wetter und konnten draußen essen. Aber wenn es regnet?"

"Every thing you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is in the cottage even down to a dishwasher . The village has a couple of pubs which do food at reasonable prices and a minimarket and bakers so is ideal for a quiet and comfortable stay"

"The facilities superb, swimming pool temperature perfect and the host, never intrusive, but always available and very genuine and lovely. The walk to the village is a task, but from 2-70 we did it and loved it. The Cleave Inn and The Dairy superb...Feeding the fish, watching the swifts, yet not one single mozzie?? unbelievable!!.A week isnt long enough"

"We were a group of 9 adults and 6 children ranging from grandchildren to grandparents and everyone inbetween. The property was amazing, there were so many little extras to help with our stay, from soft teddies on the bed to ice packs to plastic cups - the attention to detail and thoughtful touches were great. The layout of the property was fantastic with a bedroom downstairs and ensuites. The kitchen/ dining area was great for meals. But the thing that really made our visit was the location,...

"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there. I cannot...
