"I’ve stayed here a few times and it is always good value for money and easy to use, the communication with the host is good and the different choice of rooms is good. Free parking is available overnight a few minutes walk away after 6pm. Place is always clean and quiet."

The beauty of the moors was just added to by our amazing accommodation - extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and so well equipped. "Lovely cottage close to town centre. It’s has a private back yard perfect for evening drinks. Nice spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Beautiful view of the abbey from the top floor. Fully equipped kitchen. Owners very helpful. Situated in a quiet street with zone parking (provided) not too far away or a pay and display very close by. This is our second time in Penrith house and I’m sure we’ll be back! "

"Larpool Mill is delightful, full of rustic charm without sacrificing comfort and convenience.The property is very spacious and well set out, everything one might need has been provided. The ‘welcome pack’ was a nice gesture too.The garden is large and the situation very quiet, especially so as the small road outside was closed to traffic while we were there. "I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian. The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different. The rooms are fine but too many steps and a bit caotic "
