This was a GREAT location to stay for Cooperstown All-Star Village. It was about 7-10 minutes away and very easy to get to--a couple of turns down a very scenic road and you are at CASV. It was also a beautiful place to stay. The property is a farm and it is gorgeous. I got lots of beautiful pics with mountains in the background, sunsetting, the old barn & silo. Our first night there, the sky was crystal clear and there were billions of stars to see. We live where there is a lot of light pollution, so seeing that many stars was incredible. Wish I had brought our telescope.
*Affordable
*Convenient
*Easy commute to CASV
*The area is so scenic
*The owners were easy to communicate with
* Keep in mind it is a farm. Farms have flies and bugs. We are ok with it. We visit a farm in PA often and it reminded me of staying there. So it was nostalgic for us.
* It is a basement apartment. There is a steep small flight of stairs. Definitely not handicap accessible. This is clearly stated in the description, but, I am just emphasizing it. A person with mobility issues would have a hard time.
* Being that it is a basement apartment, it does have a musty smell to it. It isn't bad. We did get used to it. We kept the fans on. If you have an air purifier, you might want to bring it.
Overall, it was a great place to stay. We had a great time in CASV, and the Bull Pen definitely added to making it a great time.
