"We haven’t been to the Goldensands for a couple of years. It was always lovely, but now it has had a bit of a make over, it is even more lovely. Friendly staff, can’t beat the location.

"The staff just make this hotel; they are amazing. The grounds are beautifully kept as is the swimming pool area. Housekeeping staff could not do enough for us; I needed hypoallergenic pillows which arrived within minutes. Lovely Nenah on reception was super and helpful, but everybody was so I don’t like picking out individual names. "Superb location above bus station so quick get away in the morning to catch a bus to where you want to go and even quicker to reach your apartment at the end of a long day. "We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. We shared one family room (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant), which was quite cosy but worked well for us. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool a lot.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good but could have better options for vegetarians.
The area is not the prettiest, but the city centre and playgrounds can be reached easily by foot (10-15 minutes)."
