Convenient Get-away
Very comfortable house, convenient location to work and play (beaches, sights, restaurants, etc). Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Host was exceptionally communicative and accommodating!

Great location, very nice property. We enjoyed it very much. My only issues and they were minor is that the bathroom is very small and the stairs are very steep. May not be the best place for anyone with mobility issues.

Ideales Domizil für New York und die Hamptons
Das Haus ist komfortabel und gemütlich und liegt absolut ruhig am Ende einer Wohnstrasse mit Bluck auf einen Wasserlauf mit Bootsliegeplätzen. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Wir haben es zu zweit genutzt, aber es hat zwei komfortable Schlafzimmer mit großen Betten und reicht für 2 Paare oder auch 6 Personen, wenn man die große Couch nutzt. Frühstück auf der sonnigen Terrasse und Abende in einem komfortablen Wohnzimmer. Wir haben in JFK einen Pickup gemietet und waren von dort in 50 Minuten am Haus. Von dort sind wir in die Hamptons gefahren oder zum Bahnhof in Amityville (5km), wo es genug Parkplätze gibt, um das Auto abzustellen und in einer Stunde mit dem Zug nach New York zu fahren. Die Hin- und Rückfahrt kosten ca. 34 Dollar pro Paar. Am Tag vor unserem Boarding auf die Queen Mary habe ich das Auto zurück zum JFK gebracht und bin mit dem Zug und per Lyft (vergleichbar mit Uber) zurück zum Haus gekommen. Die Fahrt mit Lyft zum Hafen in Brooklyn verlief ebenso perfekt für rund 120 Dollar. Es war ideal, das brodelnde New York zu erleben und abends in ruhiger Umgebung zu entspannen. Eine Empfehlung für jeden, der Hotels meiden möcht, Platz und Komfort sucht und hinreichend flexibel ist.

Back home for the weekend
I grew up on Long Island but no longer have family there. Derek's house was the perfect place to stay while visiting for the weekend. The house was clean, the furniture was very comfortable, and the view was beautiful. Derek was very hospitable and available for help if needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Exactly what we needed
From the first message I received from Derek seeing if he can help with anything to check out, his communication was a 10! The location was perfectly located for a family event and visit that my husband, myself and our 2 daughters needed. It was just enough! The weather did not cooperate while we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the cozy backyard however, the living room and dining room were perfect for all of us to get comfy together and watch movies and have dinner. I am definitely going coming back when I go back home to visit! Thanks Derek for a great place. You were super accommodating and our communication was perfect!

Fantastic two bedroom that more than met our needs for this weekend trip to Hofstra. Functional kitchen, great back deck and yard with fire pit. We plan to be back in nicer weather to take advantage of the outside amenities!

We were visiting the area for a family event. The property had a nice quiet location and was in close proximity to many restaurants and other local businesses. The weather and our time did not permit enjoying the nearby water or the back yard entertaining area but it would be a lot of fun. The manager was fantastic with communication and very helpful.

Dog delight
Great property in great area. Babylon, Robert Moses State Park, Jones Beach etc.. very close by. Nearby Lindenhurst Diner rated in 4 out of last 7 years "Best diner on Long Island." Close to all the necessary stores. Water view home in the "Venice of Long Island". Lots of canals. Fenced in back yard worked very well. Dogs happy.

Quite & Comfortable
Derek was a great host! The communication was great and he was very accommodating. We loved staying close to town and yet the home was extremely quite, a major plus! The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed being outside on the backyard patio. The fenced in yard was great for pets. Be sure to book here if in the area. Thanks again!

Darling home on Long Island
The location and set up of this home is great! Close to services, water, and in a quiet neighborhood. The check-in process and communication were top notch-thank you, Derek! We enjoyed being able to prepare meals and relax while exploring Long Island. Additional kitchen amenities would have been helpful, but we made it work. Copiague Cottage
This was a nice, neat, nicely decorated home in a quite area. We are in our 60s and 70s and our only difficulty was managing the tall entry steps and the steep stairs up to the bedrooms. We kept the bathroom light on downstairs so that we could get down the stairs in the middle of the night if necessary. The host Derek was an excellent communicator.

We had a nice time in the little house. Nice location - very quiet street but convenient to lots of things. Derek is super easy to communicate with and very helpful. Kitchen could use a bit more stocking (eg we only found one non-steak knife) but we made do and had a good time!

Coming Back home to Long Island
For someone who moved away from Long Island and came back to visit , this property was perfect! Felt like home with water right in view from the house. Loved it! Cant wait to plan our next trip up.
