Splendid
The apartment is more beautiful than on the pictures. Arturo gave us a warm welcome and tons of info about Lisbon. Comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon - the Blues Brothers apartment was fantastic - we really enjoyed our holiday. The apartment was very clean, very comfortable and perfectly placed for getting around Lisbon. Arturo was very helpful and very friendly - gave us some really good ideas of things to do. It was a great holiday

Fantastico!!!
E stata una vacanza bellissima. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo inconveniente la sera che siamo arrivate,a causa di una sovrapposizione di date, non per colpa dei proprietari Diogo e Artur i quali hanno risolto l'inconveniente mettendoci a disposizione un altro alloggio per la prima notte. L'appartamento di Diogo e Artur è molto bello, curato e soprattutto pulitissimo. Non potevamo aspettarci di meglio!! Ci siamo sentite a casa.

Spacious, well-furnished apartment in less touristed location
This large, thoughtfully-furnished and comfortable apartment was perfect for our 1-week stay in Lisbon. The communication with the owners was excellent, and we were personally welcomed at the apartment and oriented, with numerous suggestions about places to visit and eat in the area and elsewhere in Lisbon. A nice bottle of red wine was provided. We received periodic messages from them checking to see if things were ok and offering additional ideas about things to do. They even contacted us on the day we checked out to see if we needed them to hold our bags for the day. The mattress is firm; we found it very comfortable and slept great, but those accustomed to memory foam might find it too firm for their liking. Kitchen is well furnished with utensils and dishware, but could use a couple more pots and pans. Coffee, tea, spices, oil and vinegar are provided. We received a nice bottle of wine on arrival. The dishwasher racks were missing some wheels and the utensil basket had holes in the bottom; one stove burner didn't work. Everything else worked well and the apartment seems generally well maintained. The location is 2 blocks from the Martim Moniz Metro and close to several tram and bus stops, so it's easy to get where you want to go. The area is not as heavily touristed as Alfama, Chiado, etc, and has a lot of ethnic character (largely African and South Asian). This was fine for us, but those who want to be in a main tourist area may be uncomfortable (we never felt unsafe). Street litter was pretty heavy, too, but we did not see any homeless, which we certainly did in other, more trendy areas of Lisbon. The streets are noisy during the day, and conversations and passing vehicles are easily heard even with the windows closed, but things do quiet down considerably at night, as there's little in the way of night life on the street. That said, if a truck goes by at 2 am or someone passing on the street is having a conversation, you are going to hear it, as the street is narrow and reverberant. For those with mobility issues, be aware it's a steep climb on narrow cobbled streets from the Metro, and one flight up narrow stairs to the apartment with no lift option. (This is pretty typical for Lisbon.) Also, the bathroom tub lip is very high, and one of us who had had hip replacement couldn't get in or out of it; no problem as long as you're flexible. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would return in the future.

Schöne Wohnung in zentraler Lage
Die Wohnung ist großzügig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Boden in der Küche hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Der Patio bietet keinen Ausblick, aber immerhin - es gibt einen Freisitz. Kontakt und Absprachen mit den Vermietern liefen problemlos und es gab viele Tipps. Die Lage der Wohnung bietet beste Voraussetzungen für eine fußläufige Erkundung von Lissabon, die Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr ist ebenfalls sehr gut (z.B. Haltestelle Flughafenbus Nr. 2 in 5 Minuten erreichbar).

Wunderschöne Wohnung
Die Wohnung liegt zentral in der Altstadt und die nächste Metrostation ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Die äußerst liebevolle Ausstattung und perfekte Einrichtung lässt keine Wünsch offen. Artur ist ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Vermieter.

Gepflegte Ferienwohnung in der Altstadt
Sehr schöne Wohnung in idealer Lage für Unternehmungen in Lissabon. Die Gastgeber sind jederzeit erreichbar und aufgeschlossen, helfen auch mal mit einem Telefonanruf für die Reservierung in einem Lokal aus. Einziger Negativpunkt könnte für empfindliche Ohren die Straßengeräusche sein. Ohropax hilft!

The location was fantastic. For our short stay we we’re able to find everything by foot. Artur and Diogo were wonderful hosts with lots of information on the sights to see. I would definitely stay at their fine apartment if I ever get a chance to do so again.

Beautiful Flat - Great Location
Flat is in a great location for all Lisbon sites. Easy walk to Baixa, Alfama and Chiado. Short uphill walk to Castelo St Jorge. Near transit and trolley for easy trip to Belém. Hosts Artur and Diogo were FANTASTIC (don’t say that about many VRBO owners). Their restaurant and navigation tips were extremely helpful. All aspects of the flat functioned flawlessly. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends.

Wunderschöne Wohnung mitten in der Altstadt, mit viel Esprit und Sinn für Schönes eingerichtet
Ich kann diese Wohnung nur empfehlen - es fehlte einfach an nichts. Genug Platz, eine vollständig ausgestattete Küche mit Mixer, Espressomaschine mit Kaffetabs, Tee, Gewürzen etc., alles da. Ein entzückender kleiner Innenhof/Terrasse, bequeme Betten und zahlreiche nette, witzige und liebevolle Details in der Ausstattung, die ich hier alle gar nicht aufzählen kann. Dabei war die Wohnung aber nicht überkandidelt. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder), aber wir wurden von den supersympathischen Gastgebern behandelt und aufgenommen, als ob wir drei Wochen bleiben würden. Natürlich waren die Betten bezogen, die Handtücher samt Waschlappen waren mit Geschenkbändchen zusammen gebunden. Die Vermieter hatten uns portugiesische Törtchen, Äpfel und eine Flasche Rosé hingestellt, wir wurden mit Küsschen begrüßt, als ob wir langjährige Stammgäste wären, und mit zahlreichen Tipps zum Ausgehen, Besichtigen und Einkaufen versorgt. Die Wohnung liegt mitten in der Altstadt, man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Entsprechend ist es aber auch nachts nicht gerade leise, wer empfindlich ist, sollte Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen. Das konnte den Eindruck insgesamt aber nicht schmälern. Also wirklich diverse Daumen hoch!
