"Lovely home with wonderful view of the ocean. The house is in the side yard of the owner’s main house but it feels separate and private. We enjoyed outings in the area during the day and cooked dinners in the well equipped kitchen at night. Owners are helpful and responsive. Highly recommend for a scenic Maine getaway!"

"This was such a fun experience. My husband and I had a road trip up the east coast. We aren't big campers and this was a great way to get a bit more of a rustic experience without a tent. But yes, you take a canoe to the island. It takes 5 minutes. No electricity, so be prepared for a camp stove and electric lanterns. Loons added a lovely evening sound track. Google map directions worked fine. Mexican restaurant was good. Took a day trip to Camden to hike and have lunch which was lovely. So fun...

"Check in was easy. The kitchen was extremely well stocked down to a lobster pot to our delight.The setting is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the two level deck. The place was roomy and exceptionally clean and very well stocked when it came to kitchen items, towels, games, etc… The grounds are expansive and the views of the lake are magical. "What a wonderful stay. The views were absolutely amazing. Kitchen well equipped. We bought live lobsters just $10 a lb from Hannafords (try also the French baguette) just 12 min drive and cooked them, clams and corn all in the steamer provided. Lounge seating very comfortable. Cooks corner area has everything incl Walmart superstore. David was a wonderful host. Could not speak too highly of him. He came out late at night when I could not work something out."
