"We really enjoyed our long weekend here. It was right on the border of fall/winter so many other shops were closed for the season but that mad a cozy place to call home even better! And the breakfasts were fabulous!"

"My husband and I both liked the condo. Great location for the area and very clean. We would stay there again!"

"We enjoyed a nice, quiet stay on a beautiful Fall weekend. Our only issue was that the dvd player did not work--power came on but the tray would not open. I'm sure the owners have corrected that issue by now. The owners were very reponsive, especially when we locked a cell phone in the cottage when we were ready to depart--solved in a few minutes via text. We would stay here again."

"We were visiting family who lived close by and this condo was available on VRBO. It was an excellent choice. Right in downtown, air conditioned with a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for the infant and toddler. Check in was easy and everything was in order. We very much enjoyed our stay in Empire. Thank you!!"

"Was a great place to stay with children. The lake is shallow for a good distance, giving a good area for children to play in the water and use the provided kayaks. It's close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park."

"My only concern is the safety of the steps I had to navigate to and from the condo. There were railings for some of the steps, but not all, and those were scary. I'm 76 and not nearly as steady or confident as I used to be. I took my walking sticks and that's how I navigated the rail-less steps. These are only 2 or 3 steps long, but with no railing to steady me, they are a horrifying fall risk. I brought the sticks so that I could hike up and down dunes on my way to the lakeshore. "This studio is exactly as described and was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! The cleanliness of this property is quite impressive as well as the comfort, location, communication, ease of checking in and to top it off, all of the little extras the property owner thought of. "Wonderful views of Lake Michigan; would have preferred greater beach access. The condo was pretty clean-dirty carpet leading up to loft. Really needs updates-flooring, kitchen counters/tops, same with bathrooms."
