"We had a lovely stay. The views and pool were lovely. Great location for a beach and taverna, 40 min walk or €10 taxi to lixouri with lots of nice restaurants and shops. The villa needs a little TLC in some of the outside areas, but this didn’t affect our say. Good communication with the owner. Good size bedrooms and nice and clean. We had a lovely holiday."

"We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks, and loved every minute of it, the villa is in a peaceful spot with stunning views but only a short drive to all amenities, and lixouri. Frances was a great host, we arrived early hours of the morning to find the fridge full with all we would need until we could get to a shop. "This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

"This property is truly amazing and I cannot recommend it enough! My partner and I stayed for a week and agreed it was one of our favorite places we’ve even been (both the property and the island)! Nikos, the owner, is so kind and helpful. He communicated before we arrived, was there to greet us and show us around, and helped with a few things during our stay like lending us a beach umbrella and providing recommendations for the island. "We can’t fault our stay in Villa Marco. The views are spectacular and the villa was clean and well stocked. Andy the property manager was on hand every day to check we had everything we needed and even took away our rubbish. A car is needed here due to the location but you can walk to a taverna in 15 minutes called Esperides which is amazing. Thanks Connie and Andy we hope to see you again next year!"
