"The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. "We had such a lovely trip! The cottage was beautiful, clean and very cosy. There was everything that youd need or want including board games, tv, access to local ammenities ect. It was a huge bonus for us that the host allowed our dogs to stay too, they are a huge part of our family so getting to take them made our trip extra special. "Don't be put off any the tired exterior of Grove House. The apartment is well presented, well equipped though you must be prepared to climb 38 steps to get to this attic location. The upside is breathtaking views of the sea. Low star for communication is that although owner lives in ground floor there is no attempt to make personal contact. Odd."

"This apartment was ideal for our 3 night stay while we walked the West Island Way. Comfortable, bright and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay. Fabulous view over Rothesay, the ferry terminal and beyond. Definitely worth the short steep walk up the hill to get there. Would happily return. "

"A home away from home. Our second stay at this fantastic lodge within 3 months. Our first trip was as a family with 3 young children and the most recent trip with my father and sister. Everything you could need ever need inside and outside from children’s colouring and games to condiments to views of the sea and the most beautiful starry nights. A welcome bottle of wine and chocolate on arrival and Kris was a fantastic host. Thank you very much, hopefully we will be back again very soon"

"Fantastic property to stay in. Perfect for us going with friends, as it meant we had the cottage with 2 bedrooms for 1 family of 4 and then the out house with a further 2 bedrooms and bathroom for the other family. Stunning views, everything you need for a lovely cozy holiday. took part in the New Year's dip just a few minutes walk away at the Kames hotel beach all of us which was fun. . "Brilliant stay and we look forward to staying again - and have already recommended to family. Rooms large, warm, comfortable and quiet. Views over Lamlash are amazing. The lady who runs the hotel was so incredibly helpful, coffees in the room in the morning, helping with electric car charger - nothing was too much and met with a smile. Breakfast was AMAZING too!"
