Een mooie woning met veel trappen.
De woning is netjes verzorgd. Heel fijn is dat iedere slaapkamer een eigen badkamer heeft. Jammer is dat de keuken en eetkamer niet op 1 verdieping zijn. Indeling; keuken en slaap/ badkamer in de kelder. BG; entree eetkamer slaap/badkamer. 1e; woonkamer en slaap/badkamer. 2e slaap/badkamer. Lekker dichtbij Paddington station. Waar ook een supermarkt is en heel veel restaurants in de buurt. Al met al een fijn huis. Alleen al die trappen 😥

when we arrived at this house we were quite disappointed. the photos that we had seen on the internet before we left and also what we used to make our decision to book this property were not all the same as the actual house. it did not say that there were 4 levels to this property so carrying cases was a little bit of a challenge. the maintenance of the property left a bit to be desired, i have a broken shower head in my bathroom, so had to wedge the shower head behind the arm to be able to point it and have a shower. there was a small cupboard next to my bed and it did not fully open, and in it was a washing machine and dryer combined, it was difficult to access this and both myself and my sister cracked our heads on the overhead cupboards while trying to use it resulting in bruised face and small cut on head. The kitchen was not the same one in the photos. now what i find very strange is that if i try to click on the link in the original email booking or even the photos that were sent to me they do not take me to the actual house we stayed at, it seems to have dropped off the map. also the wi-fi was very poor and the tv reception not that much better we had to place the receiver box outside the window on the hedge.

Centrally Located
This apartment was great for our needs. It is within walking distance of Hyde Park and Paddington Station, which will take you to most of the sites around town. There is not a bedroom on the main level, there is a bathroom and living room, then downstairs is the kitchen, another living area and bathroom. Then there are 2 sets of steps going up. The first level had 2 bedrooms each with a en suite and then the top level had 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. There were 7 of us that stayed and we had plenty of room. The stairs are a little steep so be aware if you have heavy luggage.

London via Staybeyond, not VRBO
The stay in this house was just fine. Everything worked out even though the people that we had to deal with were at Staybeyond, not VRBO since things changed between when we booked and when we made the final payment. Very confusing and anxious for us. The street (alley) outside the entrance was rather rubbish filled and it would have been more attractive is the alley was cleaned and maybe some flowers put around. Also, the drier did not dry the clothes after washing was done. The location was very central and easy to get to places via the underground. A pleasant say in all.

Some improvements needed
Overall was pleased with the property. However, we should have been able to gain access at 3pm, but because the previous occupants had left the place in such a mess, we were unable to enter until 4.30 pm. My daughter-in-law arrived at 3pm after a long drive from Cornwall with 4 children under 12. In trying to gain access, she witnessed the mess left behind and this immediately put her off the apartment. We arrived at 4.30pm and by this time the apartment had been cleaned so I am unable to comment with regard to the mess. However, the kitchen, which is in the basement and has no widow to allow any air in, did have a stale odour about it. Some bleach down the sink and the work tops wiped down with a solution of bleach may have improved first impressions. The whole apartment from top to bottom would benefit from a coat of good quality paint in a light colour to cover the numerous dirty marks and it would also brighten the twisting staircases which are very dark. The entrance to the mews was full of rubbish - paper bags, cigarette ends etc., and the overall appearance would be greatly enhanced with the addition of some colourful hanging baskets similar to other mews that we noticed as we walked around. The beds were comfortable and clean and the 4 bathrooms were modern and clean. However, I noticed the bed we used did not have a mattress protector under the sheet which I would have thought would be essential in a rental property. So too pillow protectors to prolong the life of both the pillows and mattresses. A big plus for the property was the ability to park a car. Once you are in London, you don't really need to drive with taxis, buses and trains close by, but if you are travelling before and after London, it is good to have somewhere very close by to leave a car from when you arrive until the time you move on. I thought the property was really well laid out for 4 adult couples with double or larger beds in each room, but it perhaps was not so good for families with small children. The location was good apart from the mess that greeted you as you entered the mews. Overall, I would recommend this property more for adults or families with older children
