"We had a wonderful stay in this recently remodeled house. The location was perfect -- just outside the hubbub of Lake Placid -- but close enough to make it convenient to run into town. The kitchen was recently remodeled and painted. The peninsula in the photos was removed, but wasn't missed. It opened up the room and plenty of counter space remains. When we first entered the home, it smelled very stale like the windows have not been open in months. We found a candle and opened the windows before the rest of the guests came. We were told to put the linens and towels in separate bags after our stay but there were no big bags, only the small kitchen garbage ones.
