The Strand in Hermosa

The property is fantastic. We had always wanted to stay right on The Strand. Perfect location. The Strand that far south in Hermosa is relatively quiet. Still an easy walk to Pier Avenue, Martha's, etc. The house retains many architectural features from its original construction in the 1930s and is beautiful. The rooftop is an added feature. Hosts are great--easy communication, informative about the area, accommodating. Would love to return.

Spectacular setting for family retreat

My adult children and 4 grandchildren had an incredible time at this beautiful house right on the beach and boardwalk. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was spectacular. An amazing extra was that the kids discovered a wild octopus in the rocks by the boat harbor!

Great beach house for a group!

We took a large group of friends for a beach vacation and this house was perfect. Close to the airport, yet still provided the quaint beach town vibe being close to the pier, or a short uber anywhere else someone wanted to go. The house is fully stocked for all of your beach needs along with bikes for a stroll down the boardwalk. Comfortably slept 8 adult males in our group. The host is great! Very available and attentive to help you have the best experience possible. Only thing we could've used were a few more days at the beach!

Absolutely perfect experience!

We had a birthday weekend stay here with some close friends and family. The house and location hit every mark on our wish list. The owners were absolutely lovely and flexible with our schedule. My only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer! We certainly hope to be back!

Hermosa Weekend

The property is great. Right on the Beach. The garage is full of beach chairs. Around 15 of them. Probably 8-10 boogie boards. 10 bicycles! And bike locks so you can ride your bike all over town. Air pump...everything you need. Will definitely be using this property again next time I am in Hermosa with a big group.

Wonderful house. Great location right on the beach. Cannot recommend enough taking the bikes and riding the Strand. The rooftop deck was perfect for morning coffee. The real gem was sitting on the front porch and people watching. Henry with check in was awesome. Full of tips. Bedding was super comfortable. Could hear the ocean through the open windows. Easy access to SoFi and LAX. We will definitely want to stay here next time we are in LA!

Fantastic Weekend Stay

Had the best weekend staying at this property with a 10-person group of friends. The home was so comfortably sized for a big group and has everything you could need and more. Plenty of bedding and towels and games. The location is hard to beat, easy walk to the main strip in Hermosa and right on the beach. Wish we had longer here! Also the owners were so responsive and helpful, we loved the check in tour and learning about the property’s history.

Great property, fun rooftop deck, sunsets, owners very responsive, huge collection of bikes in the garage, just a fun place. If beach volley is your passion, this is ground zero. This Is the heart of the South Bay, if you want a perfect beach experience, this is it.

Good location, bad everything else

Location is great, but house is poor quality, interior furnishings are dated and dirty. If you are looking for a party house then this is a good option. But if you are a family or a group of adults stay away - everything is dirty and important equipment like showers are broken. For 10 adults we only had two working bathrooms with a shower. The owner is nice and helpful but I would not recommend staying here.
