The listing stated there was a washer and dryer in the unit however when we contacted the owner he informed us we needed to pay the cleaning staff to do our laundry, with no apology or explanation of why the listing was incorrect. The advertised hot tub was also not heated, there was an issue with the TV, and then there were very strong fumes in the unit which led us to request a refund on the remainder of our stay. The owner was incredibly rude, and he refused. We then put a claim in with VRBO and notified the owner that we vacated the property, at which point he threatened us with unfounded accusations of theft and damage.
VRBO denied our claim stating:
"After reviewing your claim, we regret to inform you that it has been declined. The property owner has provided proof that the washer and dryer at the property were operational during your stay. As we have thoroughly explained this matter to you and this decision is final. Any further replies to discuss and/or argue the reimbursement amount will be closed without reply."
An interesting decision, considering the owner admitted via text that there was no washer or dryer available to us.
Besides these issues, the view from the bed overlooks the bar, and the balcony is very small, so there are better rental options available in the building. Also be aware the pool is freezing, the pool bar was not open, and it is very windy in winter. If those things matter, you may want to go elsewhere.
