Perfect getaway!
We took a short weekend trip to Louisville to go on some Bourbon tours and this place was perfect. Nearby to many tours and breweries. Quiet neighborhood, very clean with smart TVs, and very responsive! Would definitely stay again!

Amazing!
We came in at about 1am as we had a late flight. The porch light and several lights inside were on, which was thoughtful. House was super cozy and very clean! Dustin was great to work with…he made several accommodations for me about the days (I kept adding days). Location was close to everything! And neighborhood was quiet. They had complementary.beverages in the fridge and snacks. Would highly recommend River City Retreat! Thanks again, Dustin!

Nice home and location
This is a very nice home located a short drive from the airport, University of Louisville, Churchill Downs and the State Fairgrounds. The neighborhood was very quiet while we were there. The home layout is a bit different, as the description stated. However it was very spacious with a nice kitchen and large bedrooms. Dustin was great - it snowed the day before we arrived and he shoveled out the driveway and it was in good shape when we got there. We also appreciated the chance to re-learn how to play PacMan.

Great little 2 bedroom!
This place was perfect for our little family. Me, my husband, and almost 1 year old stayed for a few nights while we were in town to race bikes. Dustin even provided us with a pack and play and high chair so we didn’t need to travel with our own. As others have said, the house lay is a little odd because you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the other bedroom and bathroom and kitchen, but it was fine for us.

Great House with Lots of Charm
Stayed here on a Bourbon Trail trip with my brother. It’s a small house, but has a lot of charm and personality. Dustin was great to work with and the house was clean and tidy. It’s very close to Whiskey Row, about 10 minutes. The neighborhood doesn’t have a lot as far as restaurants, but we were able to find most anything a short distance away. The kitchen being downstairs was awkward at first, but you get used to it. Overall, we had a great stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Home away from home
We have travelled here from Toronto, ON, Canada. We came here for a basketball tournament and needed a place to stay between tournaments. This was the perfect location. We felt so at home we found ourselves wishing we had booked a longer stay. The host went above and beyond to make his guest feel comfortable. Easy access to the highway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If we ever come back to Louisville, Kentucky, this is where we will stay! My daughter enjoyed playing the arcade video games, we loved it!❤️❤️🥰

Great place!
We traveled from Michigan to Louisville, Kentucky for a volleyball tournament at the Kentucky Expo Center/KIVA Sports and this home was a GREAT location. We were able to drive to both venues within 10 minutes. The home was clean, beds were comfy, and the hosts even provided snacks, drinks, and some toiletries. Great place! Would definitely recommend!

Great Experience - Exceptional Hosts
The hosts went above and beyond making our stay a great experience. We stayed for the Kentucky Derby and the hosts left Kentucky Derby items for us to take home, ponchos in case it rained, the fridge and freezer were stocked, and a snack basket was left out with a hand-written welcome card. Additionally, they accommodated our requests and responded in a timely manner. I have stayed several places in the past and can say without a doubt that this was the best experience due to the exceptional hosts.

Great little house!
While, we didn't get too spend a lot of time at the house, while we were there - was great! It is such a cute little house, that has been totally updated! We loved the unique setup of the house! The kitchen, in the basement, was fun! We will definitely check to see if this house is available when we return for Nationals, again next year!

The house was as described. Dustin was a SUPER easy host. Quick to answer and great recommendations. Having the kitchen downstairs was more awkward than expected, but we made it work. However, the shower was one of the best we've had in a rental situation. Also, QuacaMole Mexican is a must!!

April Respite
We were looking for a convenient location. This property is less then 2 miles from the airport. We were there for 5 nights. Our adult daughter lived in Louisville for 10 yrs graduating from U of L. She’s on disability now. We came back so she coukd see friends. The location is a modest neighborhood minutes from everywhere. The bungalow was perfect in size. The kitchen/dining is on the lower level with the laundry. There are stairs. You do need to walk through bedrooms to access the stairs but with a family not an issue. The beds are comfortable. The TVs are set up for streaming. We felt this was a good value. Again, convenient to everywhere, clean responsive host Thanks for a nice time
