It was a lovely looking room, although the blind was broken. The staff were very friendly however I was not given the code to leave via the gate outside of opening hours (it was not on the key ring as it apparently should have been) and spent the morning stuck and unable to leave. Then breakfast (which was supposed to run from 9 until 11) was not available because the staff were locked outside and no-one had turned up with a key. I had to give up and go elsewhere for breakfast, at my expense. When I emailed to complain and ask for a refund for the breakfast, I was ignored. Lyme Regis is lovely, the pub looks lovely and the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful but the management was underwhelming and I'm very disappointed.

Pilot boat lovely Lyme and a weekend of memories
The Pilot boat stay over Easter ended up being one of the very best stays. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and housekeeping excellent. Dinner on the first night was exceptional and breakfast the very best of english. What more can I say other than we are right now planning our return. One suggestion, park up across the road and unload with hazards on, then drive to top car park and if full, its likely to be, don't worry, just park with engine running and eventually someone will return and as this is the largest then there will be a turn over. Wonderful marvelous and a credit to management and staff

My partner and I loved everything about our stay at the Pilot Boat. The room was fantastic and was just as described, the staff were outstanding they were friendly, courteous and super efficient. Johnny the owner was very helpful and a really nice guy. The was nothing we didn't like about The Pilot Boat and would thoroughly recommend it. A jewel in the Lyme Regis Crown.

Short break
Central location and great views. Facilities in room were better than some 5* that we have stayed in, with some really nice touches like complimentary beer in fridge to match the room name. Food and service were excellent. Down side there is no parking (which they do advise), but long stay car park is about a 5min walk up a hill which is not ideal with suits cases. Also breakfast didn’t start until 9am which was a little bit too late for us. However, overall worth the money.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with it. We visited on our honeymoon, and I definitely want to visit with my family again. The inside of the room is stylish and very nice. Amenities are substantial, so there is no problem if you come empty-handed. And the staff are very kind. Surprisingly, the beer and juice in the refrigerator were the services. In addition, coffee and tea services were substantial, and it was a very wasteful hotel just for one night. The restaurant attached to the ground was also very tasty.

The owners have definitely gone the extra mile with the rooms in the Pilot Boat with a real boutique feel. White company toiletries and linen, nespresso machine, dyson hairdryer - the list goes on. Complimentary drinks and fresh milk rather than the uht pots so frequently found in so many hotel rooms helped make this property stand out from the crowd. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were again top notch and the complimentary breakfast was again bespoke, rather than a run of the mill breakfast buffet. All in all a lovely stay and highly recommended!

Its a gem!
The stay at the Pilot Boat was relaxing, extremely pleasant and all services excellent, food excellent, staff were friendly and made you feel unhurried and really at home and try as i might I simply cannot fault them. I am looking to book another stay very soon. The waiting staff and kitchen staff really know thier stuff and even the housekeeping lady excelled in keeping the place spotless.and still had time to be friendly. Never have I been to a place that is so perfect its a little gem of a place.

superb stay in Lyme Regis
Unbelievably clean with the best quality products and interior used, very good under the current Covid restrictions with social distances and cleanliness of all areas. We felt safe. The food was excellent and service excellent, we would recommend and come again, loved the milk in glass bottle and give a crap toilet roll please look at alternatives for plastic bottles in bathroom

We had a lovely short break here at The Pilot Boat. A very relaxing stay in these challenging times with friendly staff and a delightful room with little thoughtful treats to make us feel welcome! Very comfortable and amazing sea views!

Perfect treat
Gorgeous room and bathroom with so much attention to detail. From the beers, water and fresh milk in the mini bar, to the delicious range of teas and coffees - with delicious fudge and biscuits! - Every little detail made all the difference. The staff were very welcoming and dinner and breakfast wonderful. A great place to stay in Lyme Regis.

Third time staying here. Rooms always clean and comfy and there’s the bar and restaurant downstairs which is really nice. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Right I the centre of town near the beach.
