Great experience
My family and I (7 of us) very much enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space for everyone and the home was fully equipped with anything we needed. There’s a beautiful park with walking trails that we thoroughly enjoyed as well. I highly recommend.

What a lovely home
We were visiting family in Lynchburg and came from CA. The home was exactly as pictured. The beds were incredibly comfortable, my entire family said the same! I love the little thoughtful touches in the home (ear plugs, coffee, make up wipes etc). The home’s location was centrally located to everything we wanted to visit. We felt very safe, went on about a 3 mile walk most mornings. There’s a great park right across from the house! The entire basement is its own little home. My husband and I enjoyed staying down there while we sent all of our kids upstairs to the main rooms. It was nice to have the privacy we needed to relax. I appreciated the weights in the little gym area in the base meant, I was able to get in a sufficient workout. Communication with the property manager was quick and efficient. We’d be so lucky to stay in this home again, it was a real gem!

Location, location, location
They say the most important thing in real estate is location. This house was perfectly located! We loved having Riverside Park across the street for our kids to play at! The local restaurants, especially Riverside Pizza, were greatly enjoyed! This home comfortably fit our family, perfect stay!

Perfect place to catch up with extended family
The 5 bedrooms were ideal for our extended family, and the living areas gave us plenty of options for gathering, both inside and outside. The whole home feels recently renovated and fresh, and we would definitely stay again!

Liberty University Senior Recital
Our family traveled to Lynchburg last weekend for our daughters senior vocal recital. We decided to stay together at the Colonial Gem rather than booking individual hotel rooms. This home was exactly what we needed! Very well appointed with all of the comforts of home. We were able to enjoy meals together at the large dining table, soak in the crisp fall weather by the fire pit, and hike the rivers edge in the park across the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will consider this home again for our trips to Lynchburg! Thank you!

Great home in the historic Rivermont area of Lynchburg. The home has classic charm with modern upgrades and plenty of space to rest and catch up with your guests inside and out!

Perfect location
Our family loved this home. It’s perfect walking distance to Randolph College, coffee shops and great park across the street. All the beds were very comfortable. We were a family of 12 and were able to prepare our meals and all sit at a truly work of art dining table. We built a fire in the fire pit out back and played a game in the backyard. The hosts were very responsive Our Granddaughter is a Junior at Randolph so we will be back. Lynchburg is a beautiful town.

Amazing Stay!
Absolutely loved our 3-Night stay in this amazing little house. Just don't mind the grumpy old man next door. Everything was super clean and just as we pictured. Check out was a little early, and that hurt a bit for the non early-birds, but otherwise I would certainly come back. It wasn't until Day 2 that we found the coffee in the basement (our friends that stayed down there failed to mention it to us--LOL). So, lock that down first thing when you arrive. Thanks for having us!

Colonial Gem is Lovely!
Such a fantastic house in a great location, close to downtown and restaurants. The house was perfect for our group of college friends and our annual reconnect weekend. Well-stocked with the basics, comfortable beds and appeared to be professionally decorated…what more could you ask for? Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

Comfortable and convenient
We had a group of 7 traveling into town for a wedding. The hosts were very prompt and easy to communicate with. The home was so comfortable. We had 2 children with us; the high chair, crib, and children's corner were a godsend. Conveniently located with quick travel (by car and foot) to all of the locations for wedding festivities, grocery stores, and restaurants.

Great house for our children and grandchildren. Plenty of room and good back yard to play in. Definitely was a nice location, near RIverside Park, to enjoy the playground and water feature. Very helpful with HOT weather!

Beautiful!!!
This was my first stay at a VRBO home and it was a great experience. The home was beautiful and well kept. The location was perfect! The outside yard was great for company visiting. Only downfall is the yard was not treated for mosquitoes. Hands down this was a great first time experience with a VRBO property. The agent was very attentive and pleasant! We will use this property for future visit to Lynchburg!

Beautiful home! Very spacious. Beds were super comfy!! Backyard was beautiful wish we was able to use the whole backyard but it rain during our trip. It was enough parking for guest. Convenient to stores and gas stations. Angela was amazing with communication 👏🏼 We had a great time.
