Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The boat ramp was close by and super easy to find. There was ample space for everyone to spread out and the boys enjoyed the indoor basketball hoop as well as the ping pong table. Nice quiet cove with great location off the main lake. The flat backyard was an added bonus for football and soccer games in between boat rides. We will definitely be back next year!

We had an amazing stay at “Absolutely Shore”! Jeff the owner was super responsive whenever I messaged him or if we needed help with anything. Check in was a breeze and having an empty garage to unload and later reload all of our luggage was something I never knew I needed until now! The house was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials! The Kitchen had all the right appliances, utensils and tools needed for two families with multiple kids to make meals every day and not have to constantly run the dishwasher because you’ve run out of the basics. The towels and linens were probably the freshest smelling linens we have ever had at short term rental. The house came well equipped with all sorts of fun games and toys to use like a mini basketball hoop set, corn hole boards, ping pong table and video game system but those rarely got played because we spent most of the time in the lake or on the dock. The flat yard down to the lake was great (no crazy amount of steps to climb)! The water level at the end of the dock was about waste deep and perfect for all the little ones swimming. The kids had a great time hunting for fresh water clams and fishing. The big yellow mat and kayaks (included) were perfect for the kids to play on burn some energy! All and all we had a great time for our week there and would highly recommend! Thank you the Meyers’ for opening up their home to us!

Always Great at Lake Gaston

We really enjoyed our time at Jeff's property - he let us check in three hours early and was a very accommodating host. There were tons of games, toys, inflatables, life jackets, and everything that you need for younger children to enjoy the house and the lake. We loved the kayaks, the double grills (blackstone and gas), and the kitchen is very spacious, which helps when you have 12 people in the house and are trying to prep meals. We would stay again!

Large Home on a Nice Lot

We found the home to be spacious and well stocked. We used both the grill and the Blackstone grill. Owner did a nice touch point to make sure we were able to get in with no issues. We rented a pontoon boat and docked it at the homes dock. The lake is massive and deep. My kids caught a lot of catfish right off the dock. I would recommend this home.

Lake Gaston Visit

A very nice Property and a great place to relax and unwind, with easy access to the lake. There were 7 people in our party with ages ranging from 90 down to 13. All had plenty of space. The open concept living/kitchen area, makes for a wonderful family gathering place. I highly recommend Lake Gaston Summer rentals for your boat and jet ski rentals.

4 Day Get-Away

We had 3 generations vacationing here to relax, swim, boat, and unwind. It was great. The place had everything we needed and host was very helpful. Will definitely do it again!

Great location

The house is located in a quiet cove right off main lake( which you can see from the house). My family included all ages-89 years old to 2 week old. Love having the beds already made on your arrival. Owner was quick to respond to my question the day of arrival and even checked to make sure everything had gone smoothly on checkout. Would definitely recommend house to anyone looking to rent on Lake

Summer vacation

With this being our first trip to Lake Gaston we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The home is as beautiful as the pictures show, and being in a quiet cove was so relaxing. The hosts were so accommodating and were quick to answer all my questions. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Great get away to Lake Gaston

We enjoyed our stay and Jeff was a great host with excellent communication. The house is spacious and has plenty of room for everyone to spread out or come together and watch a movie. The lake access is easy to get to and in a nice quite cove with perfect depth for floating or swimming.

Home Away From Home

Wonderful Property

Had a wonderful stay. House was super clean and well maintained. Large kitchen (double ovens was a huge bonus). Boat launch was close to house and there was ample space to dock our boat and flat yard. Great location and even with houses on either side it felt very private with how the house sits back from road and all the trees. Owner was thoughtful and proactive with communication! Would definitely come back!!

Most relaxing vacay we’ve ever had!

We loved staying on Lake Gaston for the week with our young adult kids and a few of their friends. The porch was perfect for reading on a rainy day and the kitchen was very well equipped! We plan to do it again! Only suggestion would be to prepare guests ahead of time for the lack of internet/cell signal. A Starlink satellite dish would fix this but maybe disconnecting was part of the relaxed feel!

A Place to Reconnect

Girls' Getaway

We loved this large lake house for our annual Girls' Getaway and have booked it again next summer. Photos accurately represent the property. Fully stocked large kitchen with 2 empty pantries (a big plus) for all our groceries and supplies. Upon arrival, we loved the empty garage where we safely unloaded our cars during a thunderstorm. Beautiful sunsets on the clean cove near the main lake. Excellent communication with owner.
