Wonderful place
This was our 2nd stay at cabin there’s no way to express how wonderful this place is and the host is amazing. This was a special trip for wife and I and we chose to come back to this cabin instead of trying something new.

Peaceful getaway
The cabin is very rustic with decor from much simpler times. Waking up in the morning in the cozy loft to that awesome view was just what we needed. It was very clean and had everything we could want. The property is absolutely beautiful and so well cared for, we really hated to leave. The only negative was the roads you had to navigate to get there, but it was so worth it. I would highly recommend this beautiful property.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods
My friends and I unplugged and escaped to the woods to have a girls trip without kids or spouses so we could connect with nature and relax! This cabin was absolutely beautiful and everything that we hoped it would be! We will definitely be coming back! Also, the neighboring dogs who come to visit are so sweet and beautiful!

Rural, quiet, & restful refreshment
Melissa has thought of almost everything for your stay. Please know that this property is 30 minutes on very curvy country roads to the nearest grocery store. Having said that, we loved it! I grew up in a house that was also rural in this way. Two suggestions that I would make: 1. Bring some portable fans for a summer stay, and 2. There are hiking trails on the property, and you will need long pants, hiking boots, etc. Melissa has provided walking sticks for your use. The back porch, overlooking the pond, is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee and lots of wildlife viewing... especially for those of you who love birding!! Thank-you, Melissa, for your hospitality and your helpful written instructions throughout the cabin, to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We appreciate you!!

Great place!!
What an amazing little retreat, we loved our stay! Madison is a great town with a lot to do as well. My only complaint is that the sleeper sofa was absolutely terrible. It definitely needs to be replaced or the listing should be changed to reflect that’s there’s only one sleepable bed. We were counting on having two separate sleeping areas. An air mattress would have been better than the sleeper sofa. However, this is an easy fix. We’d love to stay again if this was remidied!

Peaceful and quaint
Loved our stay—everything about the cabin was lovely. We wrote comments in the leather guest book. We were disappointed that the pond aeration wasn’t working to provide the option for swimming. I hope that can be corrected soon. It was difficult to leave such an idyllic setting!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!
We needed to get away for a weekend reboot. I found this by chance and fell in love with the online pics. The stay was amazing. It was peaceful and relaxing. You feel at home there. The neighbor dogs are very friendly too. It was nice because we were missing our pups. We will definitely stay again and tell all our friends and family about this place. If your on the edge, dont hesitate! BOOK IT! You won't regret it!

Privacy, Privacy, Privacy!!!
We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Due to the nature of our jobs (both drivers for different companies) we don't get to see much of each other during the week. We have always preferred places away from everyone and everything and this place fit the bill perfectly for us. We are animal lovers and enjoyed the daily visits from the neighbors dogs, Macey and Forrest. It is so quiet and it's a long ways out of town along twisting winding roads. The queen size bed upstairs was soooo soft and comfortable. Only problem I had issues with was I kept going into the living room to go up the stairs instead of the kitchen by the door! We have a chalet style home with our bedroom upstairs as well but our stairs are in the living room! If you want total peace and quiet away from all noise except for the sounds of nature, this is the place to be. We will definitely be back!

Exactly what we needed
Everything was as advertised and then some! Very clean, quiet and peaceful. I even bought some binoculars while I was in town just so I could soak in even more of the gorgeous view! Would have loved to have spent more time here but something tells me we'll be back.

Relaxing Escape
This property is exactly how it is described! It is an escape back into times of old, but with all the modern amenities! The cabin was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful and quiet environment, all in the surrounds of nature. My husband and I will have several stays at this cabin in our future!

A wonderful peaceful nostalgic getaway.
It was just as described. But it actually seemed a little bigger than I thought it would be. Just perfect, really. It was quite an adventure. The initial drive was a little scary for my wife, but, hey, that's a part of the adventure! It turned out just fine. She got used to the roads. I did all the driving anyway We had some wonderful sunsets. The bed was very comfortable. I hate it when beds are too hard. Though it's an old cabin, it really has all the amenities you need. The heat and AC worked just fine. We had both cold and warm weather, sunny and stormy. It even had a TV in an old cabinet where we watched the Women's NCAA finals in basketball. I loved all the little details of things in the cabin. So much to look at. We did have a couple dogs show up just like others have said. They are super friendly and gobble up all leftovers, lol. We left a box of Milk Bone dog treats for them for the next people to use. We saw three things while we were there. We went to Franklin, IN for the totality of the eclipse, and then to the Ark Encounter, and Creation Museum, both about an hour from the cabin. There are plenty of restaurants in Madison, IN. My wife really loved Mo's BBQ in nearby Vevay.

QUAINT PARADISE
This property delivers in every way. It's clean, cozy, secluded, interesting, reminiscent of yesteryear, and a little whimsical. I never left the property during the whole long weekend and was able to completely unwind. Lovely place!

Little getaway
We’ve been twice, both on husband’s birthday and for some peace and quiet to watch basketball. The view is amazing especially when the sun goes down. Would definitely recommend this cabin!
