Beautiful house - a bit unusual
This is a beautiful house and very well equipped. Alert - all the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor with is up 25 steps - straight up! The 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor are not connected to any of the bedrooms and are right next to each other. So - unusual. Wonderful location- easy party - comfortable beds. We did put some of the breakable decorations in a safer place because of our little ones. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.

Fabulous!
We had a lovely time. The Fashion House is stunning from top to bottom. It was well appointed and our Host couldn't have been more gracious. Looking forward to booking a long weekend there next year!

Convenient location
We are a group of older ladies. Some complained that the lighting was not bright enough & that there were no bedside tables with lamps where you could read or wouldn’t have to go across the room to turn off the lights. Another inconvenience was that there were not enough hooks in the bathrooms for your clothes when bathing. However, besides the minor inconveniences, the house was beautiful and very very clean. Anything that we needed was provided by the owner right away. They were very accommodating

Excellent historical opulent home
Excellent stay with family and friends. Spacious rooms, set up very well for our group needs, walking around town, close to many shops and restaurants. We hiked Clifty Falls, enjoyed the car show, window shopping. Great town & easily welcome to visitors. estaurants

Beautiful home close to everything!
We had a wonderful time. Todd and Mary Beth were wonderful hosts and the house was not only beautiful but it's location is great if you enjoy exploring Madison on foot. So close to everything. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful home!
Had everything we needed and more. Such a beautiful historic home, would be neat if they had a book with some of the history of the house. Beds were comfy, would get a little warm upstairs at night, that’s our only complaint.

Girls weekend
We came to Madison for an annual college fiends weekend. We were a group of 9 women in our 40’s. This house was the perfect location, beautifully designed, very clean and was perfectly set up for all of our needs. We were greeted by a host who let us in and gave us tour with many great recommendations for tours, restaurants and entertainment. The location was central to everything in Madison and all within walking distance from the house. We met so many lovely locals who gave us all the low down on Madison…it really is the friendliest town. We fell in love with this home and this city. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Golden Girls
We are a group of 3 friends since childhood who now have grandchildren and great grandchildren. If we can, we get together once a year for 3 days to catch up on our lives. The Fashion House is by far the most elegant and largest house we have rented. It is beautifully decorated and also well equipped for a stay that includes meal prep. We loved having our own bathroom and bedroom. The small sitting room on the second floor is so cozy for late night chats. The only issue that might stop us from staying here again, and it is the only one, is the stairs. They can be daunting for ladies of our age. However, for most guests it should not be an issue. We highly recommend the beautiful and perfectly located Fashion House.

A wonderful weekend at a lovely home! The owners have created the perfect place for a gathering of old friends. The common areas are spacious and beautifully decorated, blending features of a 19th century home with a contemporary flair. Also, very comfortable beds. Perhaps, bedside tables might be considered for the bedrooms and towel racks and/or hooks for the bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to use while accommodating a large group. We very much enjoyed the location and proximity to the sights of Madison. Everyone in our group loved staying here. 5 stars from all of us!

Exquisite Property In Madison IN Hosts Brothers Visit From Canada
The VRBO description does not do this property justice. Having taken advantage of several VRBO listed accommodations over the last 3 plus years across various parts of the country, we have had many positive experiences but this one in Madison, IN ranks at the top! The home was exceptionally decorated and appointed with top of line modern upscale furnishings and appliances. The owners and hosts were top notch and professional. We would best describe our experience at the home as the “Ritz-Carlton of VRBO listings”. Having visited there for years, Madison, IN is a charming and underrated midwest destination but coming on strong. The investment, renovation and expansion of old town riverfront section makes it certainly worthy of anyones bucket list adds for the Midwest.

Top notch home!
This home hosted the brides parents and grandparents during their stay in the area. It allowed for a relaxing space that made all feel special, while the family had a central location that others could drop into and feel welcomed. The home is amazing with beautiful decor and space to have conversations. The owners and neighbors are delightful. The location is perfect for exploring Madison.

Spectacular Historic Home
Rented this beautiful home for a long weekend to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday. The home was as special as the occasion. The near proximity to the downtown allowed for guests to come and go as they pleased. The owners were very courteous with extremely prompt replies. We would highly recommend staying at their exquisite home.

Beautiful Renovations along with Perfect Location!
My first impression upon walking inside was ‘WOW’! I was immediately stunned on the high ceilings (maybe 18') in this old home. While the home may be old, the owners were clearly meticulous in their renovations and kept the feel of an 1800’s home while including all the conveniences of a current, modern home. The location can’t be beat and was an easy walk to many of Madison’s fun shops, bars, restaurants and festivals. I highly recommend this property!
