"Warm, friendly welcome by the owner. As it turned out, we were the only visitors staying in the hotel, so had a nice opportunity for a chat over a beer - well stocked with what appeared to be the full range of bottled beers from Purple Moose Brewery of Porthmadog. "Had a lovely 1 night stay at this hotel with my daughter when visiting friends. Hotel was very clean, perfectly situated for exploring the area, staff were so welcoming and friendly (we especially loved Ruby the dog at breakfast) We would like to return in summer for a longer stay."

"Lovely room, very clean and well furnished. There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and although we only ate one evening meal it was a delicious, tasty burger. It was well placed for the beach and in an area with a number of shops and restaurants.I would certainly stay here again. "

"What an elegant, well presented and comfortable house in which to stay! Everything was provided, from ecofriendly shampoo and bodywash to pristine robes and towels, a lovely coffee machine, fresh mik with the tea facilities and an excellent guide to the house, its facilities and local walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay"

"Nice hotel, and the most popular venue in Dolgellau. Ensure you arrange your evening meal before 8pm, as everything stops serving early (out of season), including the hotel. Was extremely disappointing to be left with just a kebab shop at 8:20pm, with absolutely no alternatives. Town has some nice eateries, but everything shuts early and it feels like a ghost town by 9pm. "

"Glamping pod was ok but not as advertised. It stated private shower/bathroom which is why we booked. To our disappointment on arrival it was communal showers and toilet."

"The view from the caravan was amazing, caravan was clean and warm, had everything we needed. Barmouth is a beautiful place and lots of places to visit. Will definitely be back loved it."

"The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property."
