"What an incredible place, well worth the drive and investment Would be great if beach stairs were fixed for easy access to the beach. But we had a good time and the views far outweighed expectations The driveway is very steep and gravel is not goo with small cars but with a push up we made it up.All in all great place to stay! "Amazing attention to detail for a specail retreat. Enjoyed the fire, views, quiet and spa. Nice to have an electric lazyboy and smart tv. Cooking facilities are good. Bathrrom os lovely. Blinds could be improved, getting a little tired but servicable enough. A fabulous relaxing stay, i have recommeded to friends, and I'm keen to return myself!"

"We enjoyed our stay at this 'kombi' themed cottage - accurately described on the website and without any interruption from the outside world. A couple of points we feel would make it even more comfortable;As advertised, the TV is only connected to the DVD player and there is NO 'free to air' TV stations or online sites available. We think access to 'free to air' channels (TV1, TV2, TV3, etc) would be a great improvement.The beds had sheets with Winter weight duvets but there were no Summer...

"The Parrot's Nest is very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Vanessa is a welcoming, friendly, and generous host. As we did not have a vehicle, we loved being walking distance from the Kerikeri Basin, with the Stone Store and Kemp House so close, plus the lovely waterfall walk. We have no hesitation in recommending this place."

The bunk bed was a huge hit with the kids (although wouldn’t plan to have adults stay in this room as mattresses are foam - perfect for kids though). The red kitchen was very kitsch (in a fun way). Location was superb. Gay was lovely to deal with. I’m sure we’ll be back!"
