Cute little home
A cute little home. It’s perfect for a couple and another couple. We were a little mislead about the access points of the house. It is a split level home the upstairs and downstairs have 2 separate entrances. The entrances to both are outside. So I do not recommend if you have kids. But for 2 couples, it’s perfect. Just picture 2 efficiency apartments stack on top of each other. Everything’s all in one room. Small kitchen, living room, and bed. It was all we needed. The views are amazing. The yard is big.

Spectacular Location
This was hands down the most beautiful location we have ever stayed! It is like your own little private slice of heaven. From the height the property is at, it was easy to see whales out in the ocean, and the sunsets over the water were beautiful. The upstairs apartment was perfect for our needs as it was just my husband and I. The only negatives was that the upstairs bed was murder on our backs. Halfway through our visit we started sleeping in the downstairs bed, which was much more comfortable. In spite of the bed, this was hands down our favorite VRBO stay yet. We will be back!

Incredible views and amazing house.
The setting is spectacular - wide open views of the ocean and incredible sunsets. The street and neighbors are quiet and you feel like you're completely isolated. House was spotless and well appointed, easy drive to beach and shops. We managed the external access with kids with no problem, but with younger kids it might be an issue. Over the place was fantastic and we'd absolutely stay again.

Worst VRBO Experience To-Date
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience warrants it. We arrived to this home on 5pm this past Monday and entered the upper floor. The room had heavy dust, cobwebs, ants, multiple dead larger bugs, and ~50 flies flying around that we proceeded to kill before going downstairs via the separate outdoor entrance. The entire lower floor had a strong mildew smell and also had heavy dust and cobwebs throughout. My wife has asthma and sleeping down there was a non-option - outside of the lack of cleanliness. We went back upstairs and there was another round of ~15-20 flies present that confirmed to us this was an infestation. My wife and I had also sat on the couch upstairs that was in shabby shape and we both were dealing with itching for the rest of the evening until we showered elsewhere. We proceeded to contact Vacasa (the property management company) who said the soonest a cleaner could come was the next day which we said was unacceptable. The state of the home was so poor, not in line with the state of the home represented on the listing, and therefore a material misrepresentation of the property. Thus, we communicated to Vacasa that this was not acceptable and in line with VRBO's Book with Confidence we requested a full refund and had to seek alternative housing for our 4 night stay due to the state of the home. We shared videos/photos of the flies/bugs/cobwebs/dust with Vacasa, following up daily, & still have had no communication or refund from the local team.

Nice place for people wanting two separate units
This rental might be just right for two people (perhaps two couples) who are traveling together but also want separate time. The separate upper and lower living units are accessed solely by an outdoor rock path and cedar stairway; there's no internal stairway. (We were at the rental during rainy days; the stairs were slick and did not have--but very much need--anti-slip treads.) The dwelling is in a beautiful, quiet, end-of-the-road setting with an elevated deck, grill, Adirondack chairs (for the incredible view of ocean and the Manzanita beach!), a firepit, and a beautiful expanse of grass. The Internet connection is great. We don't know about the TVs, because we didn't turn them on. The upper unit (with a view of the ocean) has a small kitchen space, small refrigerator, no dishwasher, a gateleg table with one side that serves as a small, two-person dining table, two uncomfortable wood slat folding chairs, bedside spot lamps, a couch, an easy chair, and a television, but no reading lights. It includes a wood stove (wood provided), a baseboard heater, and a wall heater with a noisy fan. The upstairs bathroom toilet ran off and on, every 3-4 minutes or so; instead of reporting that problem to the rental company during our visit, we periodically turned that water line off and on. The lower unit (with a sliding glass door opening on to a pleasant garden) has a couch with a large television, washer/dryer, mini-fridge, sink and coffee maker, & bedside spot lamps.

Great Yard, relaxing time
Outdoor space was amazing for hanging out and enjoying the view with a couple of close friends. Indoor space was cozy, but better for a couple or close friends. Floors don't connect via indoor staircas and there is no real kitchen table, so wouldn't be good for a more social gathering.

Delightful Location
The home is small and cozy with a wonderful view and the addition of a fence to keep you (adults) from the egde of the cliff. Beautiful sounds of the surf and wildlife viewing. Things that we wish for: a bath mat or extra towels, washcloths, dish clothes. The kitchen dishes and utensils could use more cleaning and that was frustrating. The local town was awesome and the food was great as was the wine selection.

Amazing location
Loved the view. Loved the amenities. Great place to escape, hear the ocean, and enjoy a rejuvenating cup of your favorite hot beverage on the deck. Accidentally got locked out and was in touch with Vacasa and back into the apartment in 5 minutes! Phewwww! Thanks for having a contingency and super high marks for Vacasa! I would love to spend a month here and drink in the peace of this location.

This property has one of the best ocean and beach views in all of Manzanita/Neahkahnie! The place is cozy, quiet, and has the space for lots of lawn games and bonfires. A beautiful, private property, perfect for family and friends on weekend getaway!

Fantastic Anniversary Getaway
Wonderful experience. Manzanita is a beautiful area that is a bit quieter than the busier Seaside and Cannon Beach. The drive to the home was beautiful. It is a 1 mile+ trek up the hill from town so be prepared to likely drive into town. The property is right next to the next door home but there is enough vegetation to feel very private. The home is built like two separate units with doors outside upstairs and down but not inside access. Both levels have kitchens, TVs, full baths, etc. Vacasa was a great management company with frequent check ins on the experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely disappointing rental property experience
I recently had the unfortunate experience of renting this property with my family (children ages 10 and 13). From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property did not live up to its advertised standards. First and foremost, the listing is incredibly misleading. This is NOT a 2 bedroom unit. It is TWO separate units, the upper unit is a studio with a small kitchenette and no dishwasher. the bottom unit is a studio with a bathroom and no kitchenette. There is an outdoor stairway between the units. The unit is described without an "indoor path" in the most misleading way possible to describe no hallway or stairway inside that connects the two rooms, like any other normal 2 bedroom unit. It was evident that the description was made to manipulate anyone looking for a 2 bedroom vacation rental, as they clearly cannot rent the lower unit independently. Furthermore, when we called to complain we were not only met with lack of empathy and resistance, they even declined to offer extra bedding (none was in the closets) so that one of our children could sleep on the couch in a room with her parents. They declined to refund any money or discount as a result of this. Overall our experience at this rental and with the managers was nothing short of an expensive disappointment. I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.

Great spot for 2 to 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. One thing I didn’t like was being redirected to Vacasa for the booking. I use VRBO for a reason and was surprised to learn that listings here can be advertisements for other companies that provide the same service. Anyway, great place in Manzanita! Put it on your short list.

Anniversary trip
This property was practically perfect in every way. The view was every bit as amazing as the pictures. It was just me and my husband so we stayed in the upstairs property. The only complaints we have is the couch is a bit worn and the sheets were a little scratchy. But everything else was wonderful and it was all worth it for the view.

That view!
Tough to beat the view from the side of Nea-kah-nie Mt. down to the Pacific and Manzanita proper. Worth the price of admission alone! A cozy little cottage and immaculate grounds were also perfect for our 5-year anniversary getaway. Couldn't control the weather, of course, but even the approaching thunderheads were alluring and, as it turns out , intent on slamming the town instead of us.

Outstanding location, view and privacy!
The two separate units are perfect for couples that want a little privacy on a shared vacation. While the interior spaces are cozy/small, the layouts and amenities are excellent. We spent most of the time on the deck or the lawn, both overlooking the gorgeous Pacific. So peaceful, quiet and uplifting. Will certainly stay there again.
