Enjoyed our stay overall. House is a bit dated, but had everything we needed, including a washer/dryer. The 3 window air conditioners were able to keep us cool in the very hot weather. Very safe location, and convenient to everything in Lakeside and the peninsula. Had to pay daily parking and people entrance fees to Lakeside that added up over time, so should be discussed up front. But overall enjoyed our nostalgic return to Lakeside, that never changes!

We were pretty disappointed with the state of the place. The photos were all very zoomed in and seeing it in person was very disappointing. The backyard seating area, which in the photos looks inviting, was replaced with metal chairs and there is no sitting area in the carport like the main photo. The place was pretty dirty. The housekeeping left their soda and trash on the counter, we all thought it was each others so it sat there awhile until we figured it out it was none of ours and it was left there. The worst part was the AC units. We were traveling with a 4 month old, so we tried to cool down the place. My brother in law took apart the AC units and found the filter had never been cleaned. THere was also visible black mold on the outside air vents. Our options were to either blow mold everywhere or be very hot in August. My dad opted out of the AC because of the state of them. When letting the owner know about the AC's they said, yes it likely is time for a deep clean. We definitely wont be staying here again but LOVE lakeside and plan to return in the future. We were envious of all the adorable cottages walking around.

Just aa advertised. Comfy beds, everything there you need including a wagon, grill, fireplace and wood. Not sure what is up with the June 2025 review. My experience was just as all the others indicate!

Great time with family. House was very comfortable and on a wonderful street.Easy access to all the amenities. Appreciated the host provided sheets & towels & many more comforts. Beds are comfortable and we enjoyed the use of the grill. Thank you for sharing this special place for a week of special memories.

Great Lakeside Cottage

Cottage was clean and comfortable. Great location in Lakeside. We had a nice stay with family. Plenty of sleeping options and the front porch was nice to relax on. Thanks for a great trip to Lakeside!

You've got to be kidding me!

Overall, this place was the worst rental we have stayed at through all of our years of renting with VRBO. Premier Host is not an accurate description, and I've never had to say that before. This is a rental that has drawers overflowing with art supplies, and a variety of things that were haphazardly thrown together.......leaving one bottom drawer in the bedroom chest for settling in. No hangers. No hooks. So we draped our clothes on top of the chest. Wallpaper in the bedroom that was peeling off and repapered helter-skelter. There were two bedroom windows which had the best coverage of the whole house - we could actually lower the woven blinds to cover the whole window. The rest of the house either had no coverings, or scant coverings which didn't allow for privacy at night; we kept the lights off most of the time. I could go on, but I won't....only to tell you two things: 1) Bring your own door lock, (On Tuesday we texted our host and told her the lock was not working, and she said she was sorry and would fix it when she came to town on Thursday)! and 2. Be prepared to do some housekeeping......especially in kitchen with sticky counters and dirty floor. I really don't like to write a review like this, but the other reviews I read before I decided to rent weren't true to our experience.

We used four quilts to provide a cushion and it was still uncomfortable!

Mother's Day Getaway

Beautiful and clean home that we thoroughly enjoyed for a quick Mother's Day weekend getaway. Communication with the host was smooth along with the checkin and checkout process. Convenient location and a short walk to downtown. We would stay again!

Great Time!

Apologies for the delay in this review. Our family stayed here back in August and were impressed with the cleanliness of the house as well as responsiveness of the host. This place is in a great location and close to everything. Made for a great experience in our first of many family Lakeside visits. We’ll look to booking again next summer!!

Sweet, pleasant cottage with comfortable beds, a complete kitchen well stocked with cook ware, and a beautiful porch and backyard. The place our extended family reconnects every summer :)

Blue cottage review

Beds were comfortable and we found what we needed. The back patio area was a great place to gather and we loved the big shower. Our only suggestion would be to make more room for guests’ clothing and food supplies. There was a lot of stuff already in the fridge and freezer and most dresser drawers were full of stuff. We couldn’t fully unpack. It felt more like we were uninvited guests than people who had paid a good price for lodging. Also the bed on the porch really shouldn’t be counted. We were glad we had not counted on using it.

Wonderful stay!

We loved the cottage! Perfect for our family, super comfortable, the private patio out back was a great feature, and plenty of space to store our bikes. The cottage is well stocked with bedding, blankets, dishes, etc. we loved making lakeside memories there and hope to come back soon!

Clean and cute cottage!

We have been renting lakeside cottages my whole life and this was the cleanest and best maintained. We were comfortable right off the bat and so happy to be able to use the linens already on the beds. We also enjoyed the large “sauna shower”. Great sleeping arrangements for our family of five and the location is quiet. Wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Such a charming getaway

We all had an Amazing time!!! The cottage was extremely clean and very cozy and welcoming. I can’t say enough about Lisa as a hostess! She has given attention to so many opportunities to add the extra touches that made our stay that much more special. From our first day at Lakeside we started planning our next stay. And we can not wait!!! Thanks Lisa!

Great location!

We stayed for a long weekend recently which wasn’t enough time! The cottage was a nice distance from the shops/lake and the pool. Beds were comfortable and plentiful. Kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed grilling in the backyard. Really nice visit - would definitely stay here again!

Maharry-Go-Round 529 Maple

This is a great house in a nice area of Lakeside. Bedroom on the first floor across from a bathroom with a huge walk-in shower, just off the kitchen. Large dining room and great backyard with a Weber grill, very sturdy chairs and tall tables. Also a fire pit. Three bedrooms and a small half bath upstairs. Nice living room and front porch. Carport and parking in front of the unit. We used this house in 2019 and were very happy to be able to get it again this year. Well taken care of and comfortable for a family up to 8. One of the best houses we’ve ever rented at Lakeside.
