I would love to have Debbie and Larry as my next door neighbors. While the property itself is always an important consideration when planning a vacation, the people you interact with can make or break the experience. Debbie and Larry are super responsive to any issues, and as a result of them visiting to take care of a couple of things, we got to hear some great stories and get to know two very lovely humans. The lake is peaceful with no boaters from anywhere other than the campground - a lot of lily pads to glide through as you look for the various birds. A pair of swans swam right up to the beach as we sat there reading our books! AC works really well. You will need to provide your own bedding. linens and cookware/dinnerware, as it is a bare cabin. The refrigerator is a large dorm size (rectangle with separate freezer, not the small cube variety). Pack food in small containers so you can poke them in here and there to make it all fit. One suggestion for those who may have back or hip issues: you may wish to pack an air mattress, as the cabin mattresses are more of a camp style. Also, toss in an extra towel for use as a bath mat. If, like me, you would like to bring your bike, be advised that mountain bikes are best for the gravel hills. Definitely bring bug spray for hikes in the woods and sitting on the deck. Not as many bugs if you take your food down the hill to the picnic tables by the lake. What we took away most from our few days at this property was the opportunity to meet two very kind souls. Thanks so much, Larry and Debbie!
