Abdul who was the manager/owner who arranged transfers from the airport to the location of the hotel. He did come meet us and helped us with luggage which was around a 15 min walk from where the transport had dropped us off (cars not allowed in the square at night)
Once we arrivedhe broke the bad news to us. That his hotel has been overbooked and he doesnt have rooms available at the hotel we booked (we are traveling with a 3.5 year old). So then was some debate etc on why he didnt reject the booking from expeida etc. He then walked us another 300 meters to another hotel and then said that we will stay here for the night and he will come collect us in the morning at around 9.30am. Fast forward to the morning he didnt come collect us till 11.30am. We got the the hotel we originally booked yet the rooms were not availble. So we waited and around 4.30pm we went into our rooms. unfortunately the room that he gave us wasnt the room that was booked. I booked a deluxe room which had a double bed and a single bed. So we had to make do with a double bed only and the room was small (it was hard to sleep on a double bed me and the wife and our 3.5 year old son).
There was 5 of us in a group, the other 2 adults were offered a deluxe room on the last night that we stayed there (abdul didnt offer us the room even though were we clearly struggling to get 3 of us on a double bed). I did complain to expedia but didnt get refund as it has to be approved by hotel we stayed at (abdul)
